Very nice temple a must visit attraction
The temple is located in a lane in Mahalaxmi, one of the poshest areas in Mumbai. It is normally crowded during 12:30 am for aarti, and in the afternoon as Mumbai Darshan buses visit the temple during that time. There are a lot of flower vendors enroute the temple, and it also has a really nice view of the ocean on the backside.
Very nice and holy place
This is a Good Place. To explore the holy place we must have to visit this place. We enjoyed a lot with peace also it's quite relax.I have visited with my friends and family.Overall very nice experience.
A beautiful temple
It is a beautiful temple where you can see the faces of 3 Goddesses Lakshmi, Kali, Saraswati. There are steps to climb, bit difficult for the Senior Citizens. Fridays and Tuesdays there is rush. In the afternoon the Goddess is given Bhog(food offerings). During Navratri there is a fair for 9 days with fun. Though extremely crowded in those days the arrangements are well made and well organised. Flower vendors and sweet shops supply fresh flowers and sweets for offerings.
A small and well-maintained temple
This is the well known temple in mumbai along with siddhi vinayaka temple. And "I visit this temple in my every visit to Mumbai in order to get blessed by the goddess" none other than "Mahalakshmi devi". And this temple is very close to the beach and very "near to the Haji Ali Dargah" and the nearest station is the "Mahalakshmi station". Every visitor to this temple will have a good sea view all through the travel to the temple. This temple comprises of "Maha lakshmi, Maha saraswathi, Maha kali goddess". This temple will be crowded at the time of "Navaratri and mondays" so it is recommended to go to the temple early morning and to have quick darshanam without any hassle in by with que. And this temple is neatly maintained by the local people in shifts itself.
The place is very peaceful and calm
It is the one of the oldest temple in Mumbai, which enshrines Goddess Mahalakshmi, Maha saraswathi and Maha kali. The temple is very close to the Haji Ali dargah. Though we have to climb number of steps here, The place is very peaceful and calm over there. By climbing small stairs on temple left leads to two small temples of shri Ganesha and Shri Hanumanji. The temple gives the beautiful view of the Arabian sea. Temple will be crowded on friday usually. The Navratra, month of Margashirsha draw a large number of devotees. Finally I recommend all the people who are going to visit Mumbai to visit this temple also for sure.
Good but poor management
Temple is usually crowded, no proper management of crowd. Male and female have different line. So anyone who is new to Bombay chance of getting lost is high. Mahalakshmi Idol and temple is beautiful.
Very clean temple and famous Hindu temple in Mumbai
Mahalaxmi Temple is situated near peddar road which is one of the costliest area in Mumbai. Temple is beautiful. This temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji. Near this temple there is Haji Ali Dargah, race course. Must visit place for everyone.
One of the Oldest Temple of Mumbai
During December (Margashirsha), it is visited most considering the fasting month of Maharashtrians. It is a place with great management and no issue in getting to the main temple.
Goddess of wealth has blessed this city of opportunities for all
Early morning walk from Mumbai Central west side took us to this famous Temple of Mahalaxmi near Haji Ali sea face. The doors had still not opened and pics are not allowed inside this much revered temple of Goddess of wealth Laxmi. The charm is icons of Power-Shaktee, Wisdom and Wealth all the three are worshiped together here giving all a message! We recited the Kanakdhara stotraa here praying for peace, will power to work till end and whatever material rewards what She (Goddess) bestows on us. Had a blissful time, there is a way behind the temple where one can sit on rocks as sea waves dash against them. But 26-11 has changed it all as high security is taking its toll. How much we Indians are spending on these! Divine place, a must see triad along with SiddhiVinayak Ganesha Temple Mumba Devi local deity temple and Babulnath Shiva temple on the hill nearby. You will forget that you are in sucha bustling city which never sleeps. Banganga reservoir ahead too is a must go Ram temple.
A Temple of Mahalakshmi at sea shore
This is the temple of Mahalakshmi at sea shore in Mumbai. There are 2 idols of Saraswati and Mahakali also. Must visit place for devotee of Mataji. This is a leading religious attraction of Mumbai.
