Bad hotel with good rooms

Posted 24 Apr, 2017

In February month I visited this place. It was a holiday trip. The destination was good. The Location of the hotel was good. The ambience and infrastructure was not good and the cleanliness was good and the interior was not good. The front office people behaved well and average. The reception area was not so good. It was online booking. The rooms were good and little problems inside the room. The service was good. The food and drinks was also very average and quality of taste also. The breakfast and also WiFi was not available The overall stay at that hotel was very bad experience.

Average stay but prompt services

Posted 22 Mar, 2016

We stayed at Hotel Mainak (Port Blair) for five days in February 2016. We had two rooms. The hotel looks good from outside. The rooms are sufficient in terms of size but a stinking smell partly spoiled the stay. Electricity was available for 24 hours and hot and cold water was also available round the clock. The service was prompt and courteous The main problem of this hotel is that it is located far away from the sea and there is no good restaurant nearby. The food of the hotel was expensive. Some of the dinners were good but the others were average. Overall, we had a mixed experience at Hotel Mainak (Port Blair).

Fabulous food; quick service

Posted 20 Aug, 2014

I booked my room online. Location was very nice. Inner and outer look of the hotel was good. Booking and front office was excellent. Services were quick and on time. Rooms were neat and clean. All basic amenities were available in the room like TV, geyser, etc. Food was fabulous. Veg and non-veg all varieties were available. Nothing was available in activities. I traveled here in April month with my family. It was a relaxation holiday. This place is mind blowing for travel. This is a recommendable hotel for travelers.

Decent Hotel with cooperative & good staff

Posted 17 Nov, 2014

Mainak Hotel was a clean economy hotel located on a small hillock and away from the market area. Rooms are spacious and clean. The service was good. The staff were friendly and well mannered. The restaurant serves decent food and economical rates. The amenities provided in the room were sufficient and value for money. Overall a good hotel, however you have to have a car to reach and leave the hotel. I had visited and stayed at this Hotel for 10 Days I was there with my family. No delays in check-in and check-out process. Highly recommended and staying here was a great pleasure. Will surely visit again

Excellent hotel for a pleasant visit

Posted 28 Mar, 2017

I visited this hotel with my family and the stay experience was really good. Andaman & Nicobar was very beautiful. We most liked the Wandoor beach, Rock Island and North Bay Island. Our hotel was in a hilly area, a bit uphill. There was no market area nearby. So that was a hassle. The hotel was nice looking, aesthetics were impressive. The front desk process was smooth and staff's was co-operative. Room service was very good. They were really sensitive to guests needs. My parents had to leave early in the morning and the staff's helped them out with packing and timely checkout. My room was very nice. Only glitch was that it was downstairs so the dust came easily through the open windows. The food was authentic in taste and low on spice. Good in taste but pricey. The hotel had a gym but no swimming pool. WiFi was available only in the reception area. I had done an online booking for this hotel. The overall a wonderful place to stay at if you were okay with being in outskirts with no market nearby.
