Hash capital of India

It is a pull hippie destination. Famous for hash this village also calls for a easy to moderate trek. Book a cab from Barsgaini till Malana Gate and then trek Upton this ancient but beautiful village tucked away in solitary space. You are prohibited from touching the walls of the temple there and do have provisions of staying overnight. This can also be visited while descending from Waichin Valley.

Good place for food and culture seekers

Its absolutely out of the world, was like I am in another country. It's a place for food seekers and culture seekers and for them its a place you must not miss. Heard that Malana Village is the first democracy in the world and the Alexander the great's followers so they are untouchable and if you touch them or touch their houses you have to pay a fine. It has a temple that is also a must visit. I loved the experience and everything.

Good view with less options

Malana is just a small village around 1 hr journey from Jari. Village is on the hill itself cab or bus will go to the base and will have to walk to the village. There is nothing much to see but if you want to explore the culture and local food then, its the place for you.

Must visit place

Ice and many more to explore. Felt like I was not in India. Perfect place with friends. Beautiful trek by crossing waterfall. When you are in Malana, don't touch anything otherwise you have to pay fine of Rs. 2500 because the villagers are the descents of Alexander, pure Aryan race. So they do not touch us.

Nature at its best

Malana village is about 23 kms from jari a village which is at the foothills of the MALANA valley. You can travel by car about 18 km or so but the remaining part the 4 km trekking path is awsome, the valley itself is somewhat different and it's a treat for nature lovers the scenery is so nice and you also find crystal clear blue waters which is fresh melted snow it somewhat resembles a fairytale land words just can't explain what it is like but one should surely visit to malana if you are in Himachal especial if you like to get lost from the chaos of materialistic world!!!

Place is very refreshing

This is a lovely little village in middle of dense mountain forest the approach is not that great but after reaching it is worth every penny. The place is very refreshing and hospitable villagers. We played cricket match with local boys and they too had a great time because generally tourist don't interact with locals at this level.

Visit with family

If you wish to visit this place, make it a point to go with crowd like a bus full of tourists. The journey takes through a place which makes you feel that you are the only person left in world. Slightly scary and spooky. After a certain point, you will have to walk a good 1 hour to reach the village where the Greek soldiers under Alexander could not go back due to exhaustion. This place is popular for charas.
