Pleasant and attractive LORD GANESHA

Very pleasant and devotional ambience. Visitors are advised to take special darshan so that pooja can performed on their nakshatra. Alankaram for deity is excellent.

Divine

This place s divine, apart from that, there are so many colourful flower shops, especially lotus! That elephant named Lakshmi is super friendly, it's good to buy her some fruits like guvava, bananas etc! Hindus always start their work after praying to lord Ganesh, so it's good to begin your trip with manakula vinayagar ( lord Ganesh in pondy.

A very old Temple with a big background history, a must visit

The temple is in the white town of Pondicherry. Easily accessible by road. Recently it was renovated, which increased the beauty of the temple. There is no entry fees, for the temple. But if you want to get a closer look of the deity, you have to pay a small fees. Offerings will also be charged. Only Darshan does not attract any fees. The high light of the temple is the Elephant standing outside( Name- LAKSHMI). Children are more attracted to the elephant. The elephant blesses you by placing its Trunk on your head, on receiving offerings like banana or coins. The interior of the temple has many photos and idols of Lord Ganesha( Vinayagar) which depicts the life of Lord Ganesha. There are replicas of Ganesh idols available in different parts of the world. One of the must visit place if in Pondicherry.

Wonderful place of worship

One of the main religious place in Pondicherry. A well maintained and neatly kept temple for those who seek peace of mind. A good place of worship. If you get a chance to be at Pondicherry, never miss this temple.

Nice place to visit

The temple's deity can be seen from the road directly, however my major attraction was the elephants who was around blessing people for a small sum. A pretty regular temple, you see a lot of crowd and people busy around their business. The elephant is the show stealer.
