Flights to Reach Chennai
Though not clean, it's worth a memory spending an evening here and taking semi Bath in the sea water for a change. Lots of pic snapping to do here. Shopping for conches and stuff is
The longest sea beach in India
This popular beach of Chennai is too long and very wide. You will have to walk several meters from the road, over the sand, to reach the sea. . . The beach is usually crowded and it's usually the local crowd. You wouldn't find any foreigners on this beach (like the Goan ones). You can find several families with kids having a fun time playing in the water or just relaxing on the fine sand You can ride horse on the beach if you wish. There are several hawkers selling ice-creams, corn etc. There are a few make-shift tents, where you can get fried fish at cheap rates If you are someone looking for a calm and serene environment, you should skip this beach.

A city losing its old charm
I love Chennai because it is my home. But the city has been badly neglected by the various governments for the last two decades. It is a pedestrian unfriendly city, but always warm to tourists and visitors. Marina beach remains the star attraction of Chennai over decades.
Second Longest Beach in the world
Was it worth the visit Yes, It is. Who doesn't love the beautiful sunrise and sunset in the view of the longest beach . . This is the best place for morning walk and morning exercises. There are some outdoor games for kids to play. Coming to food, this is the place for fish lovers who are craving so spicy Of course, It is the most crowded beach, usually in evenings and in weekends . It is a renowned beach because the memorial of the four chief ministers M. G. Ramachandran, C. And. Annadurai, Jayalalitha and M. Karunanidhi . There was this beautiful moment I experienced personally, It was fine evening, but there was a drastic change in the weather and started raining and I was eating ice cream with the beautiful beach view. Who doesn't love. Rain+ice cream+beach Overall it is the best place to visit with your family, friends, kids and make it as a beautiful memory .
I loved to spend the time at Marina Beach after my business trip in Chennai. Love the atmosphere its so soothing and you get to eat lot of local specialties and the tea is just awesome.
Amazing beach .
Amazing and spectacular beach . Can see the beauty and sit a long time in the evening. All verities of local food available in the beach. We can't see sunset in beach. It is the main tourist attractions for families in the city.
Marina Beach attracts many tourists from India and abroad. I enjoyed being there. The sea was mesmerizing and The Sand dunes were amazing. It's only 3. 5 Kms from City Centre so makes it convenient to reach and many good and prominent hotels also nearby .
ME and my family went to marina beach so many times for relxation purpose. My daughter also playing with sea water and enjoyed lot of thing. We are purchase items done in shop.
Very long beach
I had visited this place first time and this is really long beach you can't walk to one corner to other, and sea currents are usually very strong as per my experience and will always get to eat lot to in streets view is really amazing here you would love to hangout for long hours.
A super long beach
Marina beach lived to its name of the worlds longest beach. You can keep walking forever to just catch a glimpse of the sea waves. Please wear slippers there as it will be easier to sand off eventually. There were dog poo everywhere so watch where you are walking. Sadly at 10am there was no one selling any form of food so we did not spend much time there
