Marve Beach Overview

Ranked 32 of 769 sightseeing in Mumbai
Marve Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Mumbai. Located in Malad in the western part of Mumbai, this beach is used for transportation purposes.
It is from north end of Marve Beach that you can board ferry to the amusement parks like Essel World and Water kingdom as well as to Manori. The ferry service to Manori from Marve Beach is provided by BEST. You can also transport your two wheelers by the Ferry to Manori Island.
Unlike other beaches of Mumbai, the Marve beach is not very popular for beach activities. This is mainly because the movement on Marve beach is highly restricted because of its narrow width. Moreover, the Indian Naval Base, INS Hamla is also based here, thereby limiting public activities here. In addition, the Marve Beach experiences swift currents and sinking sand, rendering it unsafe for swimming.
Other places of tourist interest located near to Marve Beach are ISKCON Temple, Shree Siddhivinayak, Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum, Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mount Mary Church, Mahalakshmi Temple, Marine Drive, Kanheri Caves and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus
Marve beach can be reached from Malad Railway Station by BEST buses. Auto rickshaws and taxis are also available round the clock.

Beautiful and scenic

My family and I stayed at The Resort which is a beautiful 4 star hotel right on the beach. The air was clean and fresh and the views were very scenic. The ocean was calm and it was lovely to take a cool evening walk along the shore as the sun set.

Small beach to enjoy the sunset

Its a small beach where people sit and enjoy the lovely sunset and the beach is also used for commuting from one island to another and ferry for water kingdom.

Completely natural ambiance near the beach

Very good place for relaxing, enjoying and having a fun. We booked a hotel near Marve Beach. We never thought that beach is so clean but when we went there we fell in love with that place. Ambiance is very soothing. We made a ride on 'Tonga'. There is a stall of 'Panipuri', 'Bhelpuri', 'Ice Gola' etc.

Bad odour

Got a chance to visit the beach while going to Essel world. The ferry to Essel World and water kingdom plies from this beach. The beach smells very bad as it is the site for fishing. There is nothing to do much at the beach.
