River cruise on launch and cup of coffee at Floate

Bank of Ganges located on Strand road. It is maintained by Calcutta Port trust having beautiful gardens, amusement park, river cruise on launch, eateries, The Floatel, an unfriendly hotel in Kolkata, located close to Millennium Park is a great tourist attraction. There is nominal entry fee into the park. Sunny winter afternoon till sun down is nice spot to enjoy with family.

A good place to hangout

My friend and I visited Kolkata this March. We found this place quite peaceful. This park is situated on bank of hoogly river. You can enjoy beautiful view of Howrah Bridge in night, it looks beautiful in lighting, and hoogly river looks more beautiful in night.

Incredible view of both New & Old Howrah Bridge

What a beautiful view of the Howrah Bridge from this park. At one side its new howrah bridge and old at another. Also the park is small but highly neat and clean. Very good timing for visiting this place would be in evening.

The place for love and kids

Designed by the Ganges, this park is sure to woo you for a visit. Ideally designed for the children amusement, it has also become the ideal destination for lovers. You can see couples spending their lone time in the extended park. With a minimum fees, you can visit this place any time you want. The scenic beauty is pleasing.

Must visit

A fabulous place like on the same theme of River Thames, London. A must visit site in Kolkata to feel nature at its best and get the freshest air available in town. Not only air one can relish the gastronomic delight also sold in more than 50 stalls lined across the park. It's also a night walkers delight as it's the place you are allowed to walk till late into night and with full police protection guarding the place.

A nice place to get closer look of Howrah Bridge

You should visit here at early sunrise or sunset. The scenic view of here is awesome. But talking about cleanliness it lags behind. Just at entrance you have to cross through a train line with garbages.

Nice place to relax and enjoy Jhaal Muri

The park is lovely; just on the banks of River Hoogly. You can sit in the chairs there with family or friends and enjoy the cool breeze with a packet of chips or jhaal muri and tea. There are space for children playing with few rides too. You can also go for jetty rides/ferry on the river which is just beside the gate of park. Though now a days, visiting a park with family is quite risky risky (due to few mannerless couples). Anyway, skipping or avoiding them, the overall experience was nice. Visit the park in the evening for best experience.

Nothing but a lovers stop

Once in a time it was a childrens park and the best place for family who wants to enjoy fresh breeze of River Ganga but now it has turn to a lover's spot which looks actually cheap.

A real place to spend time

In an occasion to spend time with your valentine, Millenium Park is the best. Its length of nearly 2 km along the bank of River Hooghly makes its location just awesome. Its a perfect place for couples since they can spend their time with each other and enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.

Awaiting The Kolkata Eye

It is a generic park with few rides, garden and path. It is situated at the bank of River Hooghly and Howrah Bridge looks really beautiful from here at a distance. A bystander was telling us that there is a plan to make a giant wheel ride in this park and which would be imitation of London Eye and this one would be called as Kolkata Eye. We went in the evening and had a good stroll.
