Marvellous Minicoy

Absolute Treat to our Eyes!!!I went to this wonderful Paradise on 15th December 2015 and stunned by its Beauty!!! Huge and Humongous Lagoons with such a fabulous Colorful Sea water throughout the Horizon, Our Ship stopped almost 10 km before the shore. There are many activities to enjoy like Snorkeling, Kayaking, Banana Boat ride, Knee Boat ride, Speed Boating and on top of everything Scuba diving.I did Scuba diving in all the 3 islands, 1. Kavaratti 2. Kalpeni 3. Minicoy, all the three places absolutely different experiences, dive masters explains every aspect of Scuba diving and gives training to everyone, the discipline and politeness is commendable. My Humble Salute and Hat's off to the Scuba dive Masters for doing a wonderful job.Just INR 2000/- for Scuba diving, which includes photography and video, 5 underwater photos and 1 minute video was given in a CD to cherish for our entire lifetime. If we want Top of the World experience this is the place we should head to, a must visit place for all age groups. Thanks a lot Minicoy for giving me once in a lifetime experience. Loving you so much.

The calm, tranquil, serene island

This island was the first one to be visited among the three we visited during the tour. The ship M V KAVARATTI, by which we were travelling during this SAMUDRAM tour, arrived early morning and stayed away from the shore as the island can be reached by small boats only. The ride to the shore was good.We travelled by an open goods carrier through the island roads to visit the Lighthouse. This was built by a French company and has prism arrays to convert the lamp light to a beam visible over 20 kms. There are displays taking one over the development over a century of existence from wick kerosene lamp to present halogen lamp. Also the Geo, positioning system with INMARSAT and other satellites is in position. One then moves to the resort with the lagoon and enjoy kayaking, swimming, water sports, SCUBA diving. The water is so crystal clear that as we were kayaking, we could see a turtle swimming 20 feet ahead of us. After lunch and rest we were taken to the island's northern point before going again through the island towards the docks for our return to the ship. What a calm, quiet, serene and tranquil place.
