Awesome falls and must see

It is one of the best waterfall I have ever seen and these falls are located on the way from Aliyar Dam to Valparai Hills. I visited this during rainy season for the second time as my relatives live near here. We can observe plenty of monkeys as fulfilling the name of the place and so be careful with your belongings. This place is very crowded at this time of visit and this place can be maintained better. There is no food shortage here and also available near the dam like Tea for 5/-, roasted fish, fish cutlet, boneless fish by locals at reasonable rates which are so tasty. The roadway is narrow to this fall and this is the must visit water fall as it increases its beauty in rainy season with full flow. There is no entry ticket for this fall here, so don't miss this beauty.

Awesome experience at Falls but bit crowded on holidays

Coming down from Valparai to Pollachi we saw the crowd near the Monkey Falls entrance and after buying the ticket we walked through the narrow rocky path to see the Monkey Falls. Being a holiday it was bit crowded but still we managed to reach the bottom of the waterfall and the feel of the sprinkles from the water cascading down from the top of the mountain was a special experience. The kids were taking bath and playing in the water, the Monkeys as usual followed us to see whether we will give something to eat. After sitting beneath the groves of the rock covered by the creepers and watching the waterfalls and Monkeys for some time we started back since it was going to rain.

Funny name but the monkeys are really naughty

It's worth the drive to see the Monkey falls, not only the water falls - the rocky cliffs, trekking, exploring forest etc. are part of the trip. A bath in the cool water is mind blowing.

Nice place and climate to spend a wonderful day

It is a nice place to visit and the climate remains pleasant. Particularly, when there is good water-flow in the falls, it feels like heaven. The falls is safe and no drowning will happen and children can enjoy a lot but care should be taken on the slippery rocks. The only con was, there was a single room for changing the dresses for women, which will not be sufficient during the season time where there will be a lot of crowd. You can find lot of monkeys, so better keep your food packets safe. Except this, everything is fine. It is a great place to spend a day.
