Amazing Sunset view

The place is located around 10 kms from City. The drive to the fort is nice, but has a narrow road. People who are not so experienced in driving can hire taxis or jeeps from the city. The palace is really small (as it was not completed), but since it is located on the top of a hill, it provides some really great views of Udaipur. It's mostly famous for its sunset view and is a must visit during a trip to Udaipur. Beware of the monkeys, which are all around, but do not really create trouble for the visitors.

Nice hill top palace.

When visit Udaipur must visit monsoon palace also known as sajjangarh fort build by maharaja sajjan singh the rular of mewar. It is situated on aravali hill. We booked a taxi to reached to the top of hill, it gives a beautiful peranomic view of all city's lakes. Now its turned into a hunting lodge and also have a many animal specimen with details about the rare forest animals. The beauty of aravali hill was seen awesome.

Good

This offers a spectacular view of Udaipur including the rolling aravali hills. You need to hire a taxi to get to the place. The monsoon palace sits on top of a hill overlooking the city of Udaipur. The view from the top cannot be described in words or pictures. You can stand there in awe for at least 5 minutes.

Three storey palace

Monsoon Palace which is a three storey palace, is situated in Sajjangarh fort about 11. 5 km away from Udaipur on top of the hill and this hill is surrounded by dense forests. This palace was built by Maharana Sajjan Singh in 19th-century as a monsoon palace and a summer retreat. This palace architecture is of Indian rajputana style and spectacular. Its balconies, halls and internal fountain chamber, viewing pavilions, gardens, terraces with carved arches and main gate with studded spikes. This palace is nicely maintained and very popular among the tourists. Interior of the palace is very attractive and panoramic views from the balconies, terraces and from viewing points are magnificent. This beautiful palace was opened for the public in the year 1956 by Maharana Bhagwat singh.Royals were enjoying the monsoon and now the public. Palace is having unique water conservation systems which are still operational.Sajjangarh wildlife, Sajjangarh fort, Rajiv Gandhi Park etc are the attractions for the visitors situated nearby and many good restaurants to serve the tourists.

Good Scenic Beauty

Maharanas constructed this Palace at an elevation of 3100 ft on Aravalli Range to keep track of monsoon winds and also use the palace as summer residence. Located closed to Udaipur. One can see the panoramic view of the city, lakes and countryside from palace. Best time to visit is late afternoon and witnesses amazing sunset from the palace. I consider it as one of the best sunset point.
