Moppila Bay Beach is a popular fishing harbour located near the St. Angelo’s Fort. It is one of the natural beaches in the Malabar region, whose fishing harbour was built with the aid of the Indo-Norwegian Pact. This beach is famous for the remnants of the fort and temple.

It was famous during the regime of Kolathiri, as it was a commercial harbour that linked Kolathunadu with Lakshadweep Islands and many foreign countries. Tourists can avail taxis, auto rickshaws and local buses from Kannur to visit the Moppila Bay Beach.
