Serene Beach with Olive Ridley Turtles Nesting Site

Morjim is located next to Siolim, right across the huge Chapora River. It is famous for its Lovely, Long, Serene White Sandy Beach & the Nesting Area for the Protected Species of the Olive Ridley Turtles. There are sign boards all over the entrance of the Beach on how to protect the Olive Ridley Turtles & not to disturb their Nesting areas, as well as a nice Turtle Interpretation Centre set up by the Govt. That provides valuable information on these Lovely Olive Ridley Turtles. This Centre is a Must Visit the first time that you go to the Morjim Beach. Since Morjim is a favorite with the Russian Tourists, some of the Sign Boards are in the Russian Language as well. The Beach is beautiful, long & serene, ideal not only for swimming, but also for long walks. There are also many Shacks at the Beach where you can chill at and enjoy a variety of Drinks & Food as well. A Great Beach to visit indeed & enjoy the Serene Beauty of Nature.

Morjim - One of those quiet places in Goa

The beach can be classified as one of the quiet places in Goa.The beach is clean and the best part about it is that you can easily go around 200 inside the se without having to swim. The water is good for getting in. You have proper shacks with all options for food. If you are in a mood of massage by the se, this is a perfect place. I would recommend to visit the beach by 9 AM in the morning and return after lunch. Carrying a sunscreen is a must unless you don't like your skin colour and want a sun tan to change it. There is a bollywood cafe on the beach which does not have great food but the songs played there with the beers can surely make your day. The beach also is famous for arranging beach-side weddings. If you are lucky, you might find one on visit and it can be a free feast for you.The Chapora fort is nearby and the beach view from the top is awesome.

Serenity

Morjim is one of the best beaches I have been to in Goa. It's devoid of Crowds. You would enjoy the beautiful white sands, safe waters. It's not commercialised and hence relaxing tu be at. There are no beach shacks so carry own stuff. But the sunsets are gorgeous here. Try it next time in Goa.

It was Olive Ridley's Nest

Once it remains the nest for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles as a safe heaven, now this is the first choice of Russians as the village is now described as Little Russia. This beach is very peaceful and for sun bath and sea bath is most suitable. Having a nice stretch and soft golden sand backed by the coconut and palm trees. This is place where blue sapphire coloured ocean will make you to be romantic, as well as a perfect beach for physical transform and beach shacks play their role sincerely. As this beach lies 10 Km from Bardez, and very good road connectivity and to monitor the lifeguards for safety and they love to welcome you, as some of them I know by their names. If You wish to be outdoor then the Morjim beach is the best, it is just like going to Disneyland where fun and energy both are available.

A serene Beach

Morjim Beach is a mix of peace + action. Not as crowded as Baga/ Calangute, and also not as isolated as Mandrem. A number of shacks to have food from. There is a different character to the beach due the rocks and sea shells. Very pristine a must be at place.

A small village with a temple and beach

Best thing to enjoy in Morjim is a ride from Goa to there in fresh air. Apart from that Morjim Temple is there but you won't find anyone there or it might be closed if you reach after 10 A.M. Then Morjim Beach is also there if you don't wanna go to a crowded beach.

At This Beach Life Is Different

Morjim Beach is situated in Morjim Village, on the the Northern bank of Chapora Rivea about 5 Km away, in the Pernem, North Goa. This beach was hosting the lovely Olive Ridley sea turtles and many varieties of migrant birds, now it has become the Nest of Russian immigrants, due to which it is also known as Little Russia. Beach is very safe and unspoilt and rarely crowded. It has soft sand and gradual slope makes sea bath easy and attractive. Lifeguards are deputed to monitor, which is a safety measure one may see at every beach. At this beach, life is different, as time moves slowly but mood moments are fast, the currents are less and you may enjoy the sun. Beach shakes are rare, you may find restaurants in the village, which has become quite modern and it is surrounded by many prestigious Resorts and Hotels.
