Mother's Tank is situated on the rivulet Amodar, one of the tributaries of River Ganges. This tank provides water for bathing, washing and irrigation. It is believed that the tank was used by Swami Saradananda, Srimati Yogin-Ma and Golap-Ma for taking bath.

Natives of the region state that the saints meditated under the amlak or myrobalan tree located close to this tank. It is believed that Sarada Devi spent her daytime near the tank, cutting grass for the cows. Later, she worshipped Goddess Annapurna and used the water of the tank for bathing.
