The hotel has very less rooms but the place is just awesome. Situated in the middle of coffee estate it has a very good view from all the rooms. The place is very homely. The food is really tasty. The long walks are very nice and relaxing in the surrounding areas We can also walk around the estate that the couple owns. The hospitality is really good and feels very homely. Its like home away from home. Our stay their was very relaxing and rejuvenating as there is only fresh air all around.
The hotel location was very convenient. The interior and exterior of the hotel were good. The room allotted to me was like a cottage. Limited amenities were provided at the room and were in working condition. The check-in and check-out process was in time. The staff at the hotel were good and friendly. There were no activities at the hotel. The food at the hotel was okay. The quality of the food was good and at reasonable. The overall stay at the hotel was good.
It's a quite place, one can feel the nature and the right place to sit and relax. Ambience is really good and very warmth. Nature at its best. Food is awesome and service boys and housekeeping are very friendly and answered only when questioned. Its one of the best place which I have felt really happy looking at the nature.
Location and appearance of the hotel was beautiful and I have no words to explain it. It was like heaven on earth. Sakleshpur was an excellent place to go. Location and appearance was excellent. Check-in and check-out procedure, rooms, service and food were excellent in this hotel. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes were served in the hotel but we are vegetarian. It was a buffet. Check-in and check-out timing was till 11 to 12. They kept the room ready and there were no activities available. We did not want activities because it was only just for relaxation. I went there with my family and we stayed there for two days. It was a very beautiful place. Room was spacious, clean and maintained. Sightseeing was not arranged by the hotel. There was inside coffee plantation. In the morning, it will be a very calm and peaceful place. It was value for money and recommendable hotel to other travellers.
If your idea of a holiday is to sight see (waterfalls, monuments, temples) or engage in activities (rafting, games, swimming, etc. Then Mugilu is the wrong place for you. If you just want to get away from it all, and forget that there's civilization just one mile away, then Mugilu will keep calling you back A few KM away from Chikmagalur, it's probably a good thing that it's not yet very popular with the tourists. Despite signs of eco-insensitive revellers with their beer cans, chips-packets, and rash driving starting to make the odd appearance, most of the area around Mugilu is still pristine nature at its best. While the resort offers very good quality amenities (the bedding is from FabIndia, the plumbing is very good, the cleanliness is fantastic), there is really nothing there except the cottage and the dining area. Their "offering" is a grassland next door which stretches for miles, and you can lose yourself for days-- especially if you have kids We spent hours just lying on the grass, playing football and frisbee, taking mini-treks down the paths, and enjoying the view from our balcony that opened up to an expansive valley. For any quiet times, there were the three house dogs who were more than happy to keep us company The last mile is almost like the roads of Bangalore, but the rest of the way is a pleasure to drive. Food is quite good, very local and homely. The prices are very reasonable in today's age of extravagant homestays. The hosts are excellent, complemented by a staff that shares their ethic of great service with a smile!
We stayed in Green Cottage. ( I enjoyed the sounds of those insects in the night). They are good when it comes to local cuisine, however we were not happy with the Kabab that we ordered which was no were near to the quality and taste of an average kabab. Always good to carry a torch with you to Mugilu, good place to relax away from city life and rest in the hands of nature.
It was a great experience, very nice place to visit, we felt they should slightly improve on the food front, but unlike other home stays this has individual cottages which is very comfortable.
You can call this place nature\'s own beauty..,Location is superb, quite, calm and serene.., People in this homestay are generally very good in terms of hospitality.. A resort that is located in beteween the estate.. The cottage provided was really good, well maitained and their service was also good. I liked the food there esp the akki roti and curry.
