Muttupettai, also known as Muthupettai, is an ideal tourist spot having large mangrove forests. These forests spread over an area of 120 sq km and are inhabited by diifferent species of flora and fauna.

The reserved forests of Muttupettai are the best place for birdwatching as birds like tern, grey heron, flamingos and painted stork can be seen here. The birds can be seen near the Jambavanodai Lagoon, from spots like the visitor’s centre and the watchtower built by the state government.

      Got nature lovers

      The dam not only does water, but also treasures the beauty of nature. By virtue of concurrence of river, mountain and jungle, the due is an absolute pleasure to eyes. Boating is fun filled.
