Great experience of high alltitude zoo

We visited this zoo on 7th July 2018. The place is located on the top of hill. The shuttle service is offered from the road to upper side of hill (taxi) the shuttle service of taxi starts from mall road near hotel INDIAN they take rs40/person too and fro. After the taxi drops us we have to climb a steep road for say 5min. After reaching the zoo one has take the entry ticket of 100rs. Young people can enjoy the zoo to its fullest. But sorry to say the old people or the people having leg problems and heart problems they may find it difficult to see the whole zoo. Animals here are mainly the tiger, wolf, leopard, Himalayan black bear, deers, mountain goats, red panda and birds . Note : senior citizen age 60 or above have 50% discount on ticket.

High Altitude Zoo of Nainital

It is a high altitude zoo on a very high attitude. We opt for a walk to the zoo from the mall, it took nearly 20 minutes. Cab service is also available for the zoo. Zoo is filled with beautiful animals and birds. All the animals are in good shape. You have to walk a lot in the zoo, which is similar to moderate trekking. Drink a lot of water and please don't bother the animals, they are already in cage, full of irritation, do not make it worse for them.

Well maintained Zoo

Zoo is on very much top of th city whr you can have b'ful view of th naini lake. Zoo has tiger, leopard, bear, owl, tibbet wolf, barking deer etc. One can find tiger here which is near to impossible to find in Corbett Reserve. Entry ticket is rs 50 for adult but approaching road to zoo is very narrow. One has to hire a taxi from mall road. One time visit

Nice place (zoo on hills)

It's a great zoo on hills and a must visit place when you are going to Nainital. Mainly zoo is on hills and it makes it different from other zoo. Mostly all the birds and animals are available here. It is very neat and clean. Also when you roam in zoo with clouds crossing it feels awesome.

Good but tiring

The zoo is located at very high altitude so require 2hrs to visit. The Whole Zoo is vertical but one can see Tiger, Bear and many more animals. It was really good and worth exploring experience.

What a Zoo to visit but it is too small

Awesome Zoo and better thing is that sightseeing is much more interesting than Zoo. No doubt that Zoo is too small as compared to other Zoo but when you reach the top of the mountain you will feel that you are the only one man at that height because you will see Nainital at your foot. Clouds are looming over your head. Lake was looking so beautifully. I advise you to visit more than 3 hours. Best time is that from December to January.
