Narmada Retreat, Maheshwar

Great to stay In Narmada Retreat hotel. Staff are efficient. Infrastructure is alright and hotel is well furnished. Nice location to travel around cities like Omkareshwar, historical and natural place mandu Indore is not far away from Maheshwar. City of dewas is also near to Maheshwar, every thing is perfect. Hotels rooms were modern and has all facilities that are required. TV set is good. Hotel environment was awesome.

Hotel location and room service are excellent. All staff members are cooperative. Rooms are clean. But the restaurant is costly according to the quality of food. For the family who staying there the cost of food may have to reduce. The curtain in rooms may be thick according to present curtain. Present curtain are visible.

Resort is nice and pocket friendly. I travelled to Maheshwar with my friend on a bike, it's approx 100 km from Indore. It took around 3 hrs for us to reach there. The view there was commendable and breathtaking. We reached there by 6 am. Sunrise was calm and you can go and feed fish in the river. You can enjoy the boat ride over there, its around Rs 50 per head I think. The temple was huge and there was no rush, so I enjoyed every bit of the palace. It's basically Rani Ahilya bai's Palace and Lord Shiva temple. Try to visit that place in the rainy season and you can stay there at night at Narmada Resort run my MP Govt .

The resort is near the Ahilya ghat/fort and overlooks the Narmada. The resort has options of staying in tents apart from rooms. Deluxe tents are the best ones as they face the Narmada. There is also a pool and gym in the resort. Food is good but the menu is the standard MP tourism menu. There is also a Maheswari sari stall in the resort premises which sells Maheshwari sarees at reasonable rates. There is also provision of doing boating from the hotel as it is right next to Narmada.

The MP Govt's owned Narmada Retreat is an excellent property situated at vantage point on the banks of Narmada River. The tents are spacious, with basic requirements, a spacious bathroom with very basic facilities, with running hot and cold waters The restaurant is not that hygienic and the kitchen staff are little aloof. The spout of the tea kettle was almost blocked with years of tea leaves stuck inside. The plates were smelly and the towel used to wipe them were even more dirtier! As there were no other good restaurant available at night, we somehow managed to eat here. Poor service, poor food, poor attitude, poor hygiene - overall typical Govt employees behaviour. I am 100% sure that if the same property is handed over to any private parties, it would do a roaring business, earning more revenues to the MP Govt Barring this, rest of our experience were excellent One can hire a boat on the River Narmada The morning breakfast, arranged in the open balcony, was very basic: rock hard idli, some oily Upma, some white bread with butter and jam We stayed one night at this resort and enjoyed it very much. As the credit card swiping machine was not working, I somehow scraped to collect sufficient cash to pay.

Very good resort with good facility. Resort is just on Narmada bank and Maheshwar town is at walking distance also Rani Ahilyabai fort and Sahatra dhara(6 km) are in near vicinity. One can also find hand made Maheshwari saree and dress material at economical rate with good quality. 2 days are enough to cover all.

My experience there was nice. I visited there with my family in December 2012. Hotel location was nice. It was easily approachable. Staff members were cooperative with us in that hotel. I stayed there for 2 days. Inside and outside look of the hotel was good. Very good river view was available from the room's balcony. Room was neat and clean. Food was good and hygienic. There was no delay in billing and check in or check out. Activity wise, nothing was there. I went for sightseeing by my own vehicle. Finally, it was fully satisfied with this hotel. I will recommend it to other people. No suggestion is required for hotel improvement.

During our stay hotel staff were very courteous, they were very caring and attentive to all my needs and good housekeeping services. Room's interior & accessories are very impressive, it was so spacious with ejection interior and furniture was too good, neat and maintained with basic amenities and there was swimming pool view from the room. It is located very difficult to find out, but our driver known that place so I want easily. Hotel appearance was very good and the interior was maintained with good furniture. They provided breakfast with more varieties, the quality and taste was good. No problem during check-in and check-out and there was maintained swimming pool facility. They did not provide a vehicle for sightseeing places. The hotel room tariff was value for money and it is recommendable to others. They should appoint 2 to 3 Andhra people for Andhra customers. I stayed here for official purpose with colleagues.

We reached there at 3 pm, I stayed there at night in the evening we went to see the Maheshwar fort, it's very nice place and we stayed in cottages in hotel. It's very nice hotel, there are swimming pool, kids area, restaurant so many enjoyment are there, as per view its excellent property it's just bank of Narmada River and I suggest to all if you will stay there it will be memorable for you

My stay was pleasant. Food facility was there and it was tasty. They provided only veg food. Rooms were Cottage type and it was neat and clean. AC, TV and all other basic amenities were available in the room. It was a government property. Staff was cooperative and helpful. Services were average. Small swimming pool was there. Nothing was available in indoor games. Location of the hotel was near to the Narmada river. Interior of the hotel was good but exterior was little bit not prefect. I had no problem during check in and check out process done my booking online. Maheshwar place is beautiful for tourists. I had no problem during check in and check out process. I stayed there two nights and three days with my family in the month of July. It was a relaxation trip.
