A place of Hindu worship

This is one of the oldest place to visit in Jowai. Built for over 600 years this Durga temple is considered a Shakti Peeth. Celebrations of Durga Puja is organised each year with a mix of Bengal and Khasi-Garo culture. It is also the most visited sightseeing among the Hindu pilgrims. The neatness of this temple is unlike the other pilgrimage spots in India and hence worth a visit.
