Beautiful Natural Coral Bridge in Neil island

Day five( 24. 12. 2016) after breakfast we went to Natural coral bridge for an hour. Hired a guide. Charges was Rs. 100/-. Naturally built coral bridge at Neil Island in Andaman is really a magnificent tourist spot. Walked for a few minutes on sand and then have to walk carefully on the rocks. For old fellow it is quite difficult. Sea-cucumber, star fish, corals, small crabs & variety of colourful fishes are found here. It is totally a different type of beach called dead coral beach. Clicked enough snaps.

Truly a creation of nature

This is one of the best creations of nature. The approach to Natural bridge is through a small hamlet and lined by tall Mahua trees. Once you reach the shore, after a minute's walk on the sand, you have to walk on the rocks. You can see crabs as well as octopus, if you are lucky, in the shallow water pools. The best time to visit this is at low tide. Time your visit well otherwise you can get stuck at this bridge. There is sand on the other side of the bridge, which I did not visit, and also may have some hamlet since I saw a fisherman come from that side.

Natural Coral Bridge

It is a wonderful things in the island and it is worth visiting. One can visit the bridge only during low tide. Some few shops are selling some souvenirs like T Shirts, sea shells some of them are selling food articles near parking place.

Awesome exhibition of nature's architecture

It is a completely different Beach. We call it dead coral beach. The stone bridges, the coral plane, the mangrove road everything was awesome. It is not place where you bath, it is the place kind of beach trekking!! A tough tour for old and child but a lifetime experience.

Dead coral has many living creature within it

Day time is best time because it is like natural aquarium. You can see different species over there. Take umbrella to avoid sun and enjoy the scene. It's like naked eye snorkeling. You can find tender coconut and fruit near this place. Sea Cucumber, Starfish and colourful fishes can be seen.

Natural bridge but in low tide

Best time would be to go in low tide, there are two of them an out of the world experience. You may scamper through in high tide. This would be on Laxmanpur Beach number 2. Suddenly the rocky beach dawns upon you and you are simply mesmerized by the power of nature. Don't expect to shop there. A small shack selling shells and T-shirts is though available.

Natural Beauty

A natural rock formation in Laxmanpur beach is locally known as the Howrah Bridge. Visit the place during low tide as the retreating sea leaves behind many a secret of marine life.

Colour changing fishes and other sea creatures can be seen

As it is on Neil and it is a small island so can be visited. We visited with our driver who was a guide actually. He had shown us many things over there like magic coral which actually changes its colour on touching and many other creatures like crabs, star fish, etc.

Make a rough path to reach

Located on the beach, a slightly difficult place to reach, you have to make your own way if you want to reach the exact spot instead of admiring it from a distance. You have to make your way through rough waves, stones and crabs are lots.
