Nehru Nilaya is one of the historic testaments of the region, which draws attention of tourists due to its distinct British architecture. The beautifully planned bungalow was summer retreat of Sir Mark Cubbon K.C.B, who was Commissioner of Mysore at that time.

Another noteworthy historical event associated with the testimony was the SAARC Summit, which was held here in 1986. At present, the bungalow is converted into a guest house by horticulture department of India. Along the sides of the bungalow, there are seating and playing arrangements, which are open for public.
