Best Island @ Andaman

Neil Island provides you white sandy beaches with clear blue water. There are three main beaches to see here - Sitapur Beach is just to click pictures as it is not safe for taking Bath, Bharatpur Beach is the best for swimming and water activities, Lakshmanpur beach is also good for Bath and is famous for sunset view.

Blue water island

This island worth visit. When we came out of cruise we were amazed to see the turquoise colour and transparent water in the jetty. It was really nice to visit the island. It has a natural coral bridge, you can see lot of water sports including glass bottom boat ride in the beach. Food may not be that great.

Calm and quiet piece of land

This Island is calm and quiet as compared to Havelock Island being population and area is less than Havelock Island. Options to stay are less but still good. This place provides good space to enjoy peaceful time. Tickets for to and fro journey is required in order to enter Island.

Average place to be avoided

Can be avoided if you are visiting Havelock. Nothing special or impressive about it except Bharatpur Beach which can also be skipped given the places worth visiting in Havelock. Instead of going to Neil Island one should try to explore Port Blair to a greater extent. Not a must for either family or a romantic vacation.

Many beaches but limited water sports

Trip to Sitapur Beach, Natural Coral Bridge, Laxmanpur Beach and Bharatpur Beach. Many beaches but only till afternoon timing is provided by max tour operator therefore it just become sightseeing only. Adventure sports with 100-200 Rs less than North Bay Island. They provide some extra time like 5-10 minutes in water sports because less people do it here max people did in North Bay Island only. Foods shop in 1 beach only, problem of getting roti order in well advance, have some snacks of packet is better.

Neil Island is a place to sit back and enjoy nature

We stayed at the Tango Beach Resort located at the Laxmanpur beach which is also the sunrise beach. The view of the sun rising from beneath the ocean is a real treat for the sore eyes. One can take a walk along the beach for a few kms and meet not a single person; that is really a thing of wonder for those who are living in the city since birth. The total population of the Neil Island is 2600 according to 2011 Census!! The width of the island where it is widest is 5 kms. You can hire a cycle and take a tour of the entire island, the best thing is at most of the places you can see blue water on both your sides. The Howrah bridge, a natural coral bridge is a must watch so is the Sunset point, where everyone gathers in the evening to watch the wonderful sunset. Near the Howrah bridge you can find a whole lot of sea life and living corals. The Bharatpur beach is the seat for all water sports activities. Snorkeling at Bharatpur beach is must as the water is crystal clear and you can see a whole variety of corals and colorful fishes. Those who fear snorkeling can enjoy the Glass bottom boat ride. In the end, Neil Island is a real nature lover's paradise.

Romantic Neil

Neil Island is a paradise for all beach lovers. It has serene beautiful beaches, lonely trees, deep blue water, crystal clear waves, coral views, exotic sunset all in one day of stay. I stayed for a night only but the experience worth a lifetime. You can even visit for a day, it has bathrooms and changing rooms just beside the beach and amazingly clean. But staying for a night won't let you down.

Spending the moonlight night is amazing

I had been to Neil island during March and this is the best among all places we saw. The stay at Pearl Park Resort was amazing with good food, nice spread of buffet and the restaurant, clean cottages, sunset point right at the doorstep, excellent helpful staff, cosy open wooden restaurant for evening dinner and drink. The beach adjoining the resort was amazing, calm secluded and we spent an enchanted evening on a dark beach lit only by moonlight with gentle breeze blowing, the white sparkling sands littered with multi hued corals of all shapes and sizes, pristine forest lining the beach and the gentle sea.The island also offered water sports - we did snorkelling and thoroughly enjoyed it at Laxmanpur beach. Awesome experience to snorkel in privacy with the abundance of fishes and watching the coral reefs. The beach is unrivalled in its crystal clear blue water which is knee deep even at about 200 meters from the shoreline. This sure matches the postcard beaches we see around the world.

Less crowded and laid back cousin of Havelock

Population of 4000 and area of about 20-25 square km, with 3 great beaches and marine life, very less crowd. Popular among foreigners who stay here for weeks. Bicycle can be hired for 100rs per day and whole island can be covered in few hours. Natural bridge is another attraction. Mangoes and vegetables are fresh produced. Bharatpur, Laxmanpur 1 and 2, and Sitapur beaches are main attraction.

A relaxing place

If you are a peace lover person then Neil Osland is the paradise for you. The population of this island is approx 3500-4000. Every Monday and Wednesday farmers come to the vegetable market to sell their vegetables. You can easily find bicycles to have a look around the island by your own. It cost around 100 INR per Day. Neil is a small island compared to Havelock. Sunset point, Nature Bridge, Laxman Beach are the places to visit in Neil island. Only Govt. Ferry you can find in off season for Neil Island from Port Blair or Havelock.
