Ranked 2 of 8 sightseeing in Tura

Nokrek National Park is located at a distance of about 2 km from the Tura Peak, within the West Garo Hills District of the Meghalaya State. The National Park has been named after the Nokrek Mountain Peak, which is about 1,412 m in height. In May 2009, Nokrek National Park was added by UNESCO to its list of Biosphere Reserves. This reserve is inhabited by numerous animals, including the red-panda, Asian elephant, tiger, marbled cat and pig-tailed macaque.

Good to have a tour here

It is not by birth but I belong to the region! It is good to have tour operators trying to cope and spread the info about the pristine beauty of such regions in India. But sad to share this that Nokrek National Park does not fall under Cherrapunji at all. It is in Garo Hills in Meghalaya itself.
