We stayed in Orchha resort hotel in Orchha during our trip to the famous Ramraja temple. The best part of the hotel is its location which makes it very convenient to walk to the main temple and all the surrounding monuments & fort . However, the food was not that great as per our expectation & we found the hotel tariff to be a little overpriced.
My visit to this hotel was in the month of June 2016 with family. Location of the hotel was in the centre of the city. Appearance of the hotel was good from interior and exterior. Check in check out was done on time. Staff were friendly and cooperative. Over all service was very good. Room and toilet was neat and spacious. All amenities were available with working condition. No WiFi and geezer facility in the hotel. Food was very good in taste and quality, variety dishes available in the hotel. Swimming pool was available but was not clean. No activities were held at the hotel. Garden and parking facility available in the hotel. Swimming to be maintained neat and clean. Water to be changed in swimming pool. Tariff was medium.
Location is near to Ram temple, Cenotaphs, and Jehangir Palace. Located on the bank of river Betwa. Traveller can explore river side in the evening to see stunning sun set and know the local people. Restaurant has nice food and rooms are very good. Helpful staff and good ambience. The stay was remarkable.
I didn’t find any difficulty to reach the hotel. The hotel location was good. The room allotted to me was good and well maintained. All the amenities at the room were in good working condition. The staffs at the hotel were good. The check in and checkout process was good and quick. There were no activities organized at the hotel. The food serve at the hotel was good. Variety of food was served by the hotel. The quality of the food was good. The price of the food was very expensive. The overall stay the hotel was good
We went on leisure trip with family. The resort is along the river, but still slightly far, in the sense that, the river is not visible because of the raised concrete wall. The rooms are good but slightly small. There is a pool, but not much used as people prefer to go and sit beside the river on the ghats. The food is good but nothing exceptional. Overall it is bit pricey but good on location minus view.
The hotel was conveniently located nearby the temple. The check-in was delayed but, check-out process was quick. The staff of the hotel were very good and helpful. The room provided by the hotel was neat and clean. All the amenities were working properly. The special view was not seen from my room. The food provided was good and even the food quality was good. The indoor and outdoor activities were not provided apart from the swimming pool. The interior and exterior of the hotel were good and maintained. If I get a chance, I would definitely visit this hotel. I had already recommended this hotel to many people.
Visited Orchha on a weekend. Although the location and ambience was excellent but the service requires a lot to be improved. In spite of our advance information to the resort took over two hours to provide us the rooms, in spite of the fact that they were precooked. We reached the resort around 12. 30 and were allotted rooms around 2 pm a serious lapse in service. Food was good. Will advice for the ambience location and food but housekeeping and room service is not really up to the mark.
It was a very decent resort in reasonable prices and nice facilities. It was comfort and provided great hospitality to me and enjoyed staying here. Hotel's location was fine and overall appearance of the hotel was fabulous and charming. Rooms were big, having very good modern facilities and very comfortable rooms indeed. Hotel staff was very good and hospitable. Food available was also very decent in quality.
A solid midrange option that I would be happy to recommend to my contacts. Possibly one of the best options in Orchha if travelling with young children Warm and hospitable front of house staff; helpful and courteous. Clean room and en-suite; evidently well maintained, immaculate white bed linen, everything clearly recently dusted and floors mopped, I'm surprised at how many midrange hotels omit this cleaning step. Blackout curtains - an absolute godsend in a country like India. Super quiet location and comfortable bed - slept very well both nights. Ample hot water and good pressure in the shower. Free flowing filter coffee at breakfast of drinkable quality [again I am surprised at the number of Indian hotels that have yet to make the switch from ghastly Nescafe instant coffee despite the decent home-grown coffee beans produced for export]. Polite and attentive waiters in the restaurant. Close proximity to the main attractions in Orchha; everything is walking distance. Close proximity to outside restaurants; Betwa Retreat and Amar quarter are 2 Min walk away. Well lit surrounding streets at night; allowing comfortable walking to the nearby outside restaurants. Pool area; good set up. Good buffet lunch and dinner; 550 rupees, head. The Cricket World Cup displayed discretely on a TV in the main foyer. Good WiFi signal strength available in the comfortable main foyer.
First of all I must say from the core of my heart that I am in love with Orchha! I was born in the same state not far from here but never had the opportunity of experiencing it live, until now. It is a land of palaces & forts, religion & faith, history & past with warmth that last & linger for a long time . . Most of the accommodations in Orchha are huge, palatial kinds, some maintained some not but the common factor lies in their urgency to help & welcome with an open heart. Most of the properties are reasonably priced compared to what they offer. I chose this property because:. 1. I planned to book on the day of travel & nothing else was available. 2. It was in my budget. 3. The online pictures looked decent. 4. Reviews about the property were good But to my surprise I got more I stayed in a deluxe tented accommodation which was clean, with two separate toilets, big enough to accommodate The guy at the reception was not so cool, I guess he was new & needed more training. But the other staff were very helpful, kind & efficient with an eagerness to help The best part came in the morning. As I checked-in, in the night, there was a surprise waiting for me outside my tent in the morning. It was the view! I opened my eyes to history. A sight I had never seen before! They were a group of Cenotaphs which appeared to be like old temples or some palaces. I was amazed & puzzled at the same time to see them so close(from my tent) & not know what they were. It was being transported back in time. The food was buffet style but when I told one of the serving staff that I had particular choices in food, they customized & made me what I wanted! The food was delicious & served hot. 5. The location of a property is not so important in Orchha as everything is within 1-2km reach. Most of the properties are very well located. My personal fav location was of the MP Tourism property called Sheesh quarter, it was inside the Orchha fort! P. S: 1. My journey just started from Orchha. There are some must visit places within a couple of hours from Orchha like Khajuraho, Panna National Park, Jhansi(18kms), Chitrakoot etc. A two day visit to Orchha is a must I would recommend this property for all.
Location was excellent. Inner and outer look of the hotel was fantastic. Behavior of the staff member was friendly. Hospitality of the hotel was very nice. Rooms were well-maintained, neat and clean. TV and other basic amenities were available. Beautiful view was available from the room. Food was fabulous. I took just veg food because I am pure vegetarian. Swimming pool, massage center, garden and other activities were available. I traveled there with my friends for relaxation in August month. Check-in and check-out facility was easy. Hotel was reasonable according to the facilities. I will recommend this hotel for tourists.
I visited Orchha with a group and stayed for a day in Orchha Resort. From arrival till our departure, the overall environment there was so relaxing. Especially the grand reception and relaxing by the side of swimming pool. Rooms were clean and well managed, also the staff was courteous. They gave us complimentary breakfast which was having lot of variety and quality of food was good. I would definitely advice travellers to opt for this hotel while staying in Orchha. One of the good thing about it is location. We went to night show at the fort and while returning back to hotel it was at walking distance only.
Overall experience was very good. It was conveniently located and no difficulty to reach the hotel. Appearance was very nice and well maintained. Staff behaviour was good. Room was neat, clean and well maintained. All the amenities were in working condition. There was good view from the room. Food quality was good and many variety was there. Swimming pool, indoor and outdoor games were there. Other activity was also conducted by hotel. There was no delay during check-in and check-out. It was value for money. I would like to recommend this hotel to others. No suggestion for hotel improvement. It was family trip.
It was a nice place and manager of the resort has given full support and rendered maximum help in taking care for the visitor
