Scenic beautiful experience giving nature's true definition

This lake is situated at the entrance of the zone 2 and zone 3 safari track of Ranthambore National Park and along the famous Jamaal palace. The lake homes many crocodiles and even some rare birds like oriental darter, pond heron, woolly necked stork, Asian Bill etc. In summers, it holds as the key spot to quench the thirst of prey and predators. The landscape around this lake with Fort standing tall behind makes it Scenic and picturesque and worth capturing.

Rani Padmavati committed suicide over here after that this water body is known as Padam Talab, here a Tigress ruled for many years called Machili (T-17) -"Lady of Lake". Also Jogi Mahal is situated at the edge of this Lake. If you go in summer Morning time chances of sighting of Tiger is 100%. Visited February 2015.

Biggest water body of Tiger Reserve

It is the largest pond in the park with the ruins of Jogi mahal at its banks. It is considered as the best place to see tiger, however we were not so lucky. You can easily spot Deers, Nilgai, crocodiles, Langurs & many other wild animals.
