A religious spot in Nasik

I had no idea about this place before my visit to Nasik. I happened to reach Nasik on the way to Shirdi. The Panchavati is a religiously important place. There are several temples and holy spots here. The famous Kumba Mela is taking place at the Ghats here. But it is kept in a pathetic style. The place is dirty and cleanliness is very much absent at this holy joint. The place looks more fascinating during night time.

Major pilgrimage point of Nashik

It's the point of pilgrimage. The name comes from five big old banyan trees which are said to be there when Rama - Sita were spending the exile. If you've a religious side, you'll love the temples, colours and daily rites and rituals at Panchvati. Plus the Kumbh Mela here occurs once every 12 years, so it's a photo-enthusiast's destination to be.There's Muktidham(all Hindu Gods under one roof), Ram Kund, Kapaleshwar Temple, Naroshankar Temple, Sundar Narayan Temple, Kalaram Temple, Sita Gumpha, Tapovan, Laxman Temple, and many more religious sites to visit. Most of them are stunning.
