Panchpula Overview

Ranked 6 of 26 sightseeing in Dalhousie

Panchpula is located at a distance of around 3 km from Dalhousie. One of the famous picturesque spots in the region, the word Panchpula means five bridges. It is the place where a descending stream pours into and feeds several pools. The main stream that supplies water to cities of Dalhousie and Balloon is the Panchpula stream. The stream originates from the northern side of Dayakund, which then cuts through a ravine to fall into the water bodies located in Panchpula.

A monument or a samadhi has been built where several streams meet at Panchpula in the memory of Sardar Ajit Singh, who was a great revolutionary. In addition, there is a restaurant along with several tea shops dotted around Panchpula.

On the way to Panchpula, there is a spring fall, which is known as the Satdhara spring fall. It is believed that the fresh waters of Satdhara contain healing medical properties. Thus, while travelling to Panchpula, most of the tourists halt at this spring fall to witness the miracle of nature.

Panch pula is very important and nice place of Dalhousie. If someone is going to Dalhousie it's a must visit place, it remembers us our great history because at panch pula when you see the statue of ajit Singh great uncle of legend Shared Bhagat Singh, any one must feel proud of our great history and culture, there shops of eatable things and if you love shopping there are shops ,, even there is a little Park? For children, roller coaster was there. So people from any age can enjoy and relax from hectic schedule of our daily lives. I visit the place with my family. Panchpula - A waste of time

As reviewed by others, I did not find anything worth mentioning. Yes, there are five broken bridges, a falls that cannot be defined as a falls, place is dirty and not worth visiting. A monument of Sardar ajit Singh is good.

Not worth visiting

Panchpula is a small place 5 km downhill Dalhousie. It has few shops where you can buy souvenirs, but all that is also available in mall road. The activity area is small and does not seem to be safe.

Nice little place

Nice, quite little place/picnic spot. Good for a little while although not much to see around, just a small little waterfall and few small shacks to eat something. A one time visit place.

Waterfall and activities along with a newly found Shiva cafe nearby

Panchpula is a small tourist attraction with small waterfall and few shops which may not attract a lot of people but when you climb up along with the waterfall you reach a not so explored Shiva cafe. The waterfall flows right through the cafe with Led Zeppelin playing in the background. This is the place to be in Panchpula.

There are small activities for children. One temple on the top of the hill of Panjpulla. If you vist in Winter season try to get warm clothes with you. Place is around 3kms from the Dalhousie Market.

Very good place

Panchpula near Dalhousie is a good place. It is 2 km away down the hills from Dalhousie. Best place to visit in March or April. Temperature near and around Dalhousie will be about 15-20 degrees in April. So for summer vacation it is a very good place.

Nice place for romantic mood

Nice place for those who are visiting it for the first time with their partner and also good place for family visits. Has good waterfall, good snow fall during winter and best thing was the availability of Maggie noodles. Good snapshot of location and Photography allowed.
