Awesome attraction

We started from Dehradun and reached Pandukeshwar (390-398 km). It was a 8 hr journey from Dehradun via bikes. The mountains from Joshimath to pandukeshwar are just awesome. Best for photography in day time though be careful that you don't cross that area at night becuz of fear of landslide. After reaching Pandukeshwar, the hotel costs are very cheap around 150 double bed room/night. The only problem faced is the signals only works after Joshimath was crossed. From there 20-30 km is badrinath and in 3 km is the place where trek starts.

One of 5 Adi Badari

There are 5 temples of Lord Vishnu known as Adi badari in Uttarakhand char dham. Pandukeshwar is also one of 5 Aadi Badari. This is in a small village while going to Badrinath from Joshimath. However, you have to step down more than 100 steps which was not possible for senior citizen like us.
