We stayed here in Mid October where it was too cold but inside the camp it didn't felt that much. The washrooms were clean & Hygienic & also one of the best maintained camps out there. The Temperature was freezing cold at degree but it was an awesome stay the food can be improved but apart from that everything seemed nice & fine. It is surely recommended if you staying at Pangong.
At a far flung and disconnected place like Pangong, the facilities these guys provide are almost unbelievable. The beauty is serene throughout the way, the destination is mind boggling and when you cover the distance between Leh up to there, you wouldn't have expected tents and the camp to be so luxurious.
One of the many camping arrangements near Pangong Tso. The tents were clean and had beds in them. YES! BEDS IN TENTS! A clean toilet attached to it. You will only find such stay arrangements in this area. The food provided was simple and delicious. Ensure you carry 2-3 layers of woolens as it tends to get very cold (sub zero degree Celsius) at night, even during peak summer months. Also it is advisable to carry some extra food along!
The climate is very good during this trip as I expect before. First of all I say thanks to HolidayIQ. Com for suggesting me such a nice place and hotel. Hotel staff and room service is so good. Food is too good. Me and my friend enjoyed a lot during this trip.
When at Pangong, staying at the night is a difficult task. The wind is always blowing and always remind you of the chills it carries with it. However, our protector was this really organised, neat and clean Retreat Camp, safeguarding us from the devilish weather. The camp is not as close to the lake as it seems in the map, however they make it up with the service provided with tasty food and especially the hot water pad provided to keep us from getting cold.
This is one of the best, tidy camp with mesmerizing, beautiful, amazing view of Pangong Lake. This camp has attached toilet so, this is comfortable to stay. Proper electricity is supplied so that you can charge your phones. A good and different feeling, experience at Pangong Lake. Must stay here. You will love the morning here.
What a place at Pangong, one of the last camp sites which was difficult to trace out while approaching from start of the Lake. It's located at Maan Village may be the last motor-able area which we could glance as the driver told beyond which we approach Chinese LOC. The Pangong Sarai is Super Deluxe Camp Site with Tents having modern facility. It has attached Bath with "chilled" water. Hot water is available bucket basis which is readily delivered to your tent when ever demanded, provided its day time and solar system can heat it. Hot water for drinking is also provided from Kitchen. Reception cum dining space is common for all guest as no room service except evening and morning Tea at room. The camp is just besides the lake and you have plenty of scope to enjoy the sunset and sunrise at your discretion provided one can bear the chill. In tent power available up to 11 pm however emergency lamps provided in each tent. Additional blankets are also provided in case one feels too frozen. Food is normal prepared by locals For activities : Ludo / Chess is available in common room with TV. I think one needs no other activity rather than view the changing beauty as the day progresses.
Pangong is a slice of heaven on earth. It's beauty is mesmerizing. And what better that to stay at the lakeside. Chilling breeze did not deter the photographer in us to stand by the lakeside and keep on clicking. The camp people were helpful. They kept the tea supply on. We were really hungry when we reached the camp. When we requested the staff to give us some snacks, they happily did that. The night we stayed at Pangong, it rained heavily. But that did not deter the staff from serving us hot tea and breakfast early next morning. They also had buckets of warm water ready for us. A blissful stay.
We were knowing that we will not have a good tent facility here @ Pangong as it is distant place and it is country-side. But we were surprised that the tent had electricity and bathroom. Food was good. Staff was very humble and helpful. They supplied hot water in bucket during day time and there was hot water (via pipeline) available in the morning. We were very happy with this camp site and this was one of the LIFETIME experience we had @ Pangong. I suggest to stay overnight at Pangong though there are some difficulties but it is worth it!
The location of the hotel was good. But the hotel was very bad. The quality of the food was not so good. The stay was really bad. The bathroom was also very bad. They had spoiled the entire trip. The hotel was very cheap in quality & service. It was a tent. I could not enter the bathroom even for brushing the teeth. I had been there for only 1 day. There was no view from the room. Activities were also not organized by the hotel. The overall experience of the hotel was very bad. The destination was good. I will not recommend this hotel to other travelers.
