Panaroma Point Matheran

Good spot to visit with family .. Not too far from railway station and market and not too crowded as well. Matheran is a lovely spot to hangour with family and friends and good one day picnic spot.

Panorama Point - my favourite point

Panorama Point is perhaps a little bit remote from Matheran, but worth wile to visit by a 90 min. Walk via Dasturi-Carpark in the early morning. Best season is end of the monsoon, when nature is lush green and the sight is far reaching. Arriving at the right time, you can see the Toy Tran chuckling around the hairpin curve. Unfortunately the Toy Train is presently not in service due to Safety Concerns.

Beautiful place

One of the best viewpoints in Matheran. Best explored on foot. This viewpoint gives an amazing spell bounding 360 deg view, and as the name suggests the view was indeed panoramic. Located at the farthest point of the hill station, the trek is very satisfying after one witnesses the sheer beauty of the ghats.

Brilliant, awesome and amazing view

We were in Matheran in Apr 2015 for a weekend, and Matheran has so many mountain peaks which have become tourist attraction points. This is one of the best, Panorama Point, nice view, peaceful atmosphere around, since it's far away from the market it is always less crowded. Definitely recommended.

A must visit point

The Panorama Point that provides a 360 degree view of the surrounding area and also the Neral Town. From this point, the view of sunset and sunrise is dramatic.

Awesome place

This point is a little far off from the central place and hence is not frequented by many people, very secluded but very beautiful. The walk through the jungle to this place is awesome.

Super place

Wonderful view of the hills. Definitely worth visiting during monsoon. Once in a time opportunity for Asia's only vehicle-free hill station. Need to walk a lot though

Take a camera to capture the views!

It is about 6 km from the Post Office. The view from here is magnificent. This place is most suitable for picnic. This point commands one of the widest view of the hill, both of Matheran and other side of it. Peb Fort, Chanderi, Jagged peaks of Mhas-Mal, Navara-Navari can be seen from here. Take a camera with you. It will come in handy!
