Good place famous for its Gurudwara

Paonta Sahib is a small town in Himachal Pradesh famous for its Gurdwara. River Yamuna flows on the back side of Gurdwara. Gurdwara is well maintained and is beautifully built. Paonta is named after the feet of Guru Gobind Singh ji who visited this place. It is around 55 km from Dehradun, 55 km from Yamuna Nagar and around 100 km from Ambala. Apart from Gurdwara there is no major attraction in this place and Other famous temple of Lord Parshuram is located around 45 km from Paonta which has a beautiful lake and has awesome view. Paonta is well connected with Road but has no Railway station. One can come here from road through Dehradun or from Yamuna Nagar. It is a plain town having some average hotels like Hotel Yamuna, Riviera, Rockwood. Among these Riviera is best A place has good food options. There is also a near paonta for Boat ride in a lake. Overall a peaceful place but climate is like Delhi. In need to run Air-conditioners in summers. A religious place for Sikhs. It is a five hours ride from Delhi via Sonipat, Karnal and Yamuna Nagar. Around 250 km for from Delhi.

Gurudwara at banks of Jamuna

Paonta Sahib is an industrial town famous for Gurudwara. This is sacred space where Guru Gobind Singh Ji used to organize kavi-sammelan to recite poetry by the side of Yamuna. The noise of river Yamuna used to disturb in the beginning. One day Guru Sahib asked Yamuna for silence and till date Yamuna flows quietly at that particular area. There is service to serve people day and night. Food and tea is served free of cost as Prasad. Kirtan and satsang helps people to cure themselves from worldly suffering. I love this space of prayer from bottom of my heart.
