Nice place to visit and spend some great time with friends or family. Very good hotel with nice staff, cleanliness, some facilities like free WiFi, spa etc . Beautiful Beach view from room which we stayed Food was delicious (except tomato soup which was not good), and I would suggest other travelers to have "Dum Alu Kashmiri" vegetable which was very tasty.
I checked in for a 3 day stay this wonderful place. What truly came as a surprise to me was the gentleman the gate who came to receive us. His face wasn't new to me nor his name. My association with this gentleman dates back to 2008-2009 when he was managing Turtle Bay, Kundapur. Being a regular at Turtle bay over the last decade he instantly recognized me. This was Suresh the manager at Paradise lagoon. Even we before we checked in I had a long talk with him and his move to Paradise Lagoon. Was good catching up on my previous escapades wherein he had arranged snorkeling and boat drives to a nearby island for us. The check-in was pretty quick and we were introduced to our Premium Waterfront room. The room was well laid, large and the bathroom was well kept too. Since we already had lunch enroute to the place I caught a few winks. Mind you this place is a deviation from the Udupi Kundapur Highway towards Kodi Bengre beach. The resort is right next to the Those Healing and Health care. Situated on the banks of an estuary, the place was simply fabulous. The road to Paradise Lagoon is quite narrow and is pretty small. So be ready to compromise or reverse and allow the oncoming vehicle to pass. By 4:00pm I set out to explore the property. The cast iron benches around the boundary wall facing the estuary was well laid out. Pathways clearly fenced and pretty little lawns around it. A fishing deck to allow for fishing and the evenings can be a lazy one simply looking into horizon or right across the shore. In the distance I could see a mangrove, I saved exploring this for the next time. My 3 days stay was one of the most calm holiday in the last few years. We did nothing but laze around in the resort. Mornings were spent using indoor games and we usually stepped out to explore and for lunch. By 4 pm we are at the infinity pool which is the biggest USP of this place. A brilliant setting once again overlooking the estuary. The dining place once again was on the border walls of the resort facing the river alongside it. A plus point in my sincere opinion. Where else could one have the experience of dining and watching the small fishing boats go by food options are in plenty and thanks to Suresh for making every meal a new experience. Being a foodie, my taste buds were thoroughly kindled with the variety of dishes being served here. I mostly opted for fried fish ( seared, mackerel, prawn) for dinner. The neeru dose was well made to compliment the chicken or fish curry My daughter too had a great time at the place since Suresh made every effort to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. Never heard a NO from the master for any of the requests we made. It takes a lot of effort for someone to smile all day and get things done without complaining be it 6:00am or 11:00pm Pros of this place:. -The USP itself is the location of the property and its manager Suresh. Maybe the owners should think of retaining him if they need people coming in regularly - Property is very clean by itself. - Large rooms and well cleaned bathrooms. - The infinity pool. - Dining space. - Indoor games. - Pedal boat. Cons. - Not really a drawback but since I never had a try at veg food, vegans must check once with their options. Could have been better. - No bins placed around the property hence every time we had to dispose anything we had to walk up to the lobby or the room itself. It would be helpful if the management ensured that they had a few bins placed strategically along the pathways. -Breakfast could have a better spread. But I can't complain since with only 3 families I don't know if the norm was to have something small. To sum it up I had a great experience out here. A quaint and nice place to enjoy a relaxed vacation with your family. Last but not the least, when you go there dispose garbage responsibly. I saw another family simply disposing plastic, Styrofoam cups and tissues where ever they felt like. It was such a shame to see acts by grown up and educated folks coming from urban places.
