Hill with lot of greenery

I liked the drive to Pazhamudir Solai. The temple as such is not that impressive. Very colourful . . There is nicely tarred road up to the temple . There are plenty of trees on either side. I switched off the AC and opened the windows to breathe fresh air . I took the cab for some more distance to enjoy the fresh air. Goes up to th stairs of Nupura Gangai spring.

Abode of Lord Murugan

On 4th day of our religious personal tour, we visited Pazhamudircholai Murugan Temple, Madurai. The Temple is dedicated Lord Murugan and is one of six holy abodes of Lord Murugan in Tamil Nadu. It is at a distance of 25 km from Meenakshi Amman Temple. We prayed here and got blessing from Lord Murugan. There is also a big temple of Lord Shiva just near this temple. A must visit place when you are in Madurai and are devotee of Lord Murugan. A nice visit of Sanctum.

Peaceful Temple

The Murugan temple is on the hill. It is so calm and peaceful. I stayed there for two hours and had Darshan with family. It is one of the six temples of Lord Murugan. People say that in the six temples, it is the last one. To sit in meditation, the place is so nice.

One of the six famous temples of Lord Muruga

One of the six famous temples of Lord muruga. This temple is located on the top of the Alagar hill. The temple is small yet it is located on a beautiful hill. One kilometer from there is a place where water flows from the ground just like springs and geysers. It is believed to be an ancient spring and the water is sweet and clear. Now they charge money to take Bath, fill water in bottles and containers. It will be crowded always. You have to wait in long queues. So if you are planning to go to this place start early morning.

Peaceful and divine

Lord Murugan Temple just before the Alagar Koil is located about 20-30 in the out skirts of Madurai. A very peaceful, divine and spiritual experience. Best time to visit is during the day for about 1-2 hours, preferably by own transportation (two wheeler or car).
