Pong Dam reservoir is located at a distance of 65 km from Panthankot and 115 km from Dharamsala on the Beas River. The Pong Dam Lake is popular for its wildlife sanctuary, which houses wild species like sambar, nilgai, barking deer, wild boar, leopard and clawless otter. The reservoir has been developed on a large scale for promoting water sports for tourists.

This lake is created by dam, it is very big lake, birds from all the world come here. Maharana Pratap Sagar renovated and made it as a bird sanctuary.
