Poovar beach

It's nice to the beach with hotel boat. We went in the morning so little bit of hot climate was there. We can see catching fish and nice waves. But we are not permitted to go inside the water. Also outside parties are providing boating for tourists .. That's a good option for sight seeing. And if you want to take a Bath in the see you need to go Hawa beach .. It's little for us to travel that's why we didn't went.

Nice but not a beach to swim or have a dip

If you wanna swim then go to Kovalam beach but if you just wanna be on a sea shore and enjoy waves and wind then visit Poovar golden sand beach. However, there are no activities, etc on this beach.

Very clean beach but no diving allowed

It is a very clean beach but there is no diving allowed due to the deep waters. Not much options for food. Only Coconut water available but very expensive. If you are taking a boat to reach this place there are a couple of floating restaurants on the way and a scenic route.

Lovely beach

Loved the shore. Blue sky and amazing waves, force of waves can be felt from far off. Best part of this island is that lake merges with ocean and it's the best view ever. Clean beach. Worth spending hours and hours.

Also known as GOLDEN Beach

The beach is called Golden Beach but it is Olden. You will not want to come back. A long stretch of clean golden sand. Just visit, relax and enjoy the waves.

Fun at Beach

Excellent location. The jetty travel to the beach was fun and adventure. Got to be little careful at the beach. High tide and have to be really carefull with kids.

Beach midway back waters and sloppy sea

We hired a boat from Club Mahindra Poover for one hour. It was a journey through sort of jungle through back waters, the path was all curves. It took about 30 min by a somewhat slow motor boat to beach. It was probably high tide and we enjoyed the strong waves and the foam on it. The waves can catch you unexpectedly. One has to be careful.

Good place for photography, but dangerous beach

A must visit place, you can see the sea water merging and demerging with back water. Good place for photography, but dangerous beach as the waves here are too big to enjoy.

Small, clean and relaxing beach

It is pretty and pretty clean beach, seeing river on one side and sea on the other is an awesome experience. River meets the sea here, so you actually are on a small island.
