Statutory warning : If you have ever gone to Andaman and stayed at Hotel Port Marina, Port Blair, never go to North Bay islands in submarine safari. There is a hotel staff called Rahul, who will try to convince you to go and he will plan that before Neil islands and Havelock. He will shell out 1, 850 per head and will promise to give a bill which ultimately he will postpone and try not to give. Once you visit Neil Islands after North Bay, you will regret. The glass bottom boat at Neil will cost you 500 bucks only and show better than the submarine due to clear water. And after that if you stick on to getting the bill from him, the person will behave very badly with you. Don't fall prey to this vicious circle P. S : If you are staying at Hotel Port Mariden, be prepared to get the worst of behavior in the last day. It may range from utter ignoring to street urchin level quarrel and treating you like a beggar.
I visited this hotel in the month of December 2016 for vacation with my family. The overall experience was very good. Destination was very good since I liked everything here but Havelock was good too. The location of the hotel was very good as it was convenient to travel. The best way to travel is by car. The appearance of the hotel was very good but it was pretty inside. The receptionist at this hotel was average as it was pretty disappointing. It was an online booking through Goibibo since they asked for the confirmation printout but I could make it. The overall services were good as the staff were friendly too. The room was good as it was clean and spacious. I booked three bedroom but they offered me three bed room. I did not take any food at this hotel but they gave breakfast was complimentary. I recommend this hotel to other travellers.
Hotel is very well located at Delanipur area, easily traceable. Hotel staff is also good. Check in and check out was also easy. Hotel is built with 3-4 floors with no lift service. Hotel room is also medium but mangable but washroom is too small to manage with family or even if you are single and not proper facilities. Anyway I was budget free and I prefer comfort first, so I choose to change the hotel and I did. Breakfast is complimentary but not so good in taste but could be managed. Anyhow they have less rooms available to be booked instantly because port Blair is tourist location so do your booking in advance.
Hotel is very good and situated at comfortable place and near to the Akaash Vani Doordarshan and airport was also well connected. Interior and exterior design of the hotel was very good and modern look. Staff service and behavior was excellent. Reception people were friendly and cordial. I did not face any problem in the hotel. Room was well furnished and spacious. Beautiful view was visible from the room. Room was facilitated with AC, TV, geyser, bed, pillow, blanket and well maintained toilet. I did not take food inside the hotel. I could not appear any activity there. Parking space was little difficult. I traveled Port Blair with my family. My mother tongue is Hindi. Port Blair destination is excellent and marvelous.
Hotel was good. I went there in February 2014. Food was delicious. Both veg and non-veg staff was cooperative and helpful. Services were excellent and on time. Hospitality was good there. Rooms were well clean and well maintained. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and other tourists. Value for money paid. I made my booking directly with the hotel.
This hotel is situated on the top of the hill with a fabulous view to the sea. The hotel has a welcome drink served with a passion. The staff were very hospitable and helping. The food was moderate but served excellently. In house facilities were also very good with hot and cold water and beverages in the fridge. The coffee pot and tea/coffee facilities with kettle and other provisions made the stay excellent.
I had been to Port Blair with a group of seventy people and booked this hotel to stay. The place is very good for holiday and we did not find any problem in locating this hotel. The hotel is situated in a crowded area since market is very nearby. I did not like the appearance of the hotel and interiors were also average. There was delay made during check-in and check-out though it was a precooking for us. The staff members in the hotel are satisfactory in service and behaviour. The rooms allotted to us were not maintained well and cleanliness was average. Other amenities were working properly and food served to us was good in quality and taste. There were no games or activities conducted by the hotel management. Overall, our experience was satisfactory but the management must improve its maintenance for better convenience.
