Pranahita Wildlife Sanctuary is a beautiful landscape of the Deccan Plateau and is situated in the Adilabad. This sanctuary covers around 136 sq. km of area and is surrounded by dense forest. River Pranahita that flows within the sanctuary serves as a source of water for the wildlife. Pranahita Wildlife Sanctuary has diverse natural vegetation that includes paniculata, dalbergia, pterocarpus and marsupium.

Tourists can spot various mammals like tiger, sloth bear, forest cat, leopards, langur, wild dogs and hyenas. Apart from this, the sanctuary is also home to different birds, including teals, herons, strokes and ducks. Months between October and March are the best time to visit the sanctuary.
