Mysterious Prashar Lake.

I have visited Prashar Lake in the month of June with my friends. We heard about various mysteries of prashar lake. So, we all were very excited. It is one of the most beautiful lake I have seen. Due to rains the weather at that time was very pleasing. The sky was clear and greenery all around us. The place was clean and peole can also stay there in tents that are available. The food shops were also good.

Visual treat.

Prashar is situated around 100 kms from Manali. The ride is mostly smooth with about 20 kms of a bumpy stretch. The route however is beautiful; one would encounter lush trees on both the sides of the road. Our destination ie the lake area provides amazing panoramic view of the valley.Accommodation might be a problem since the area has only government guest houses. You need to make prior bookings and often there is month long waiting. Food available is good, the weather in the month of June was quite pleasant. A warm zipper would work just fine. The premises also has a temple built after rishi Prashar. The temple may be small in size but adds to the beauty of the place.

An awesome retreat

The place is a pristine beauty. The trek to this place was quite hard and endurance testing. But all this was worth the wait. The snow capped mountain peaks and breathtaking views all around the place made it more beautiful.

A true example of Nature' Beauty

Prashar Lake is located near Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. A true example for Nature's Beauty. At a high of 2730mt it gives you a sneak peek into world of Himalayas. Having its mythology related to Hindu gods pandavas this lake has three shaped pagoda like temple. Covered completely by snow during Dec-Mar makes it a Frozen lake.

Mountains Call

I rated this at 5 just because I know that there are yet more exciting places than this, this was my first trip to the northern mountains. The mighty Himalayas. This was my first trip and a very well carried out and a successful result. This was basically a trekking trip that we did with Panarsa Pines to the Prashar Lake in Mandi. The entire Himachal is a breathtaking place. Mandi is a part of it, we started our trek from Panarsa 3km from Mandi. It was a 13km trek uphill which took us through valleys, creeks, waterfalls and cliffs, the view was beautiful just beautiful. The morning at our campsite was amazing and worth living, after which we went to take a look at the prashar lake and the temple, the season was pleasant and it looks great during snow, but it was nevertheless beautiful. Worth visiting, the locals are very sweet and helpful. We had a superb time and a wonderful experience, this review is very limited to explain what we feel of the experience.

Just a day in paradise

I was there for a modelling photo shoot with my team and models. The travel from Manali was great with a show of different extravaganza by nature. Great off roading in narrow routes and small walk in the end. There was a hail storm an hour before we reached Prashar Lake. We became speechless. We did not want to disturb the place with our work.No one was talking or seeing the models. We did not have a language to express such a kind of a feeling we did not even take any photos for some time. It was a some kind of a Josh inside for being there that recharged all of us with lots of energy. Guys who ever want to go please enjoy the place without disturbing the place.A beautiful temple adds to the glory of sentiments and silence fills the space. You will not feel to disturb the silence.
