It was my first visit to Ranthambore and we had booked the hotel online. The package we got included the safari and the room. The room services were fast and food at the resort was good. The hotel ambience was nice and good family crowd was coming regularly.
Good place, as a location for us, photographers, it was ideal Service was not so very great, maybe off peak season, otherwise there was a nice ambience but arrangements for our early morning tea and biscuits, our breakfast and lunch and dinner plus short eats were made readily and staff were very courteous The rooms were comfortable and the amenities reasonable, there were glitches with the air conditioner remote but friendly staff kept things moving Pool was not large but it wasn't advertised as such, large family groups come and dip, almost fully clothed, so that was a big minus But it was a good place to stay, budget pricing, there are of course the 5 star properties around Take rooms away from the pool, so the late evening revellers (young boys in the pool) don't disturb you.
Rajasthanis are majorly known for their hospitality, particularly and their warm welcoming nature. This resort therefore was no exception to the norm. From going out of their way to provide us rooms much prior to the scheduled timings to accommodating all our minor requests, they really made it special for us We were a group of 9 members and had booked four rooms, we arrived at Sawai Madhopur at 6 in the morning, therefore much ahead of the check-in timings. Yet they opened two rooms for us by 7:30 and also provided us with extra mattresses and quilts for the rest of us. The afternoon Safari was arranged and we set out for the ultimate Jungle experience in Ranthambore. On our return in the evening a special dance and music program was arranged at an additional cost of just Rs 900 and the folk musicians regaled us non-stop for 2 hrs. Since we went during winters we couldn't use the swimming pool but in summers I am sure it must be a major attraction for outdoor activities. They also have a huge garden where travelers with kids will enjoy. The breakfast spread was not very elaborate but good nevertheless Overall, it was a lovely experience with the resort.
I went to spend some time near to nature and for that I had visited Ranthambore. I stayed in Raj Palace Hotel and I would like to stay again in future. Food and service was very good, helpful staff. Rooms were good so overall experience was very nice.
We stayed here for 28th & 29th June'14. The property though is located on a busy road but it is covered with enough trees & bushes to keep you away from the hustle bustle and loudness of the road. The manager at the reception was courteous though a bit hard to other customers; maybe they had refused to pay some additional charges incurred Anyway, we had the first room of the property. The room was spacious enough to accommodate three people (we took one room and shared between three people) with an extra bed. The Television though lacked picture quality and on complaining we were told it was the cable company's fault. The pool was a family pool. Don't expect a king size or a diving pool. You can enjoy there with your kids/friends and relax The best thing about Raj Palace was the food they had. We were in the AP Plan meaning all the meals were included in our package. Each meal had a varied buffet menu. Be it the breakfast, lunch or dinner we had a variety of vegetables & breads to choose from. It was a reasonable good experience at Raj Palace.
