I must submit that I faced a horrible scenario at my first visit to this hotel. The experience was so alarming and horrendous that I was left with no other option but to leave the hotel at the very onset and go to a far better hotel with everything managed professionally and satisfactorily Please pay your hid to the most depressing and frustrating points mentioned below which me along with my family including my 4 years old child faced at this hotel:. At the very entry to the hotel there were no staff available to carry the luggage to the lounge and we had to wait a long time at the gate to see the face of someone for carrying the luggage When we entered the hotel and presented ourselves at the reception for check-in nobody seemed to even aware of the fact that me along with my wife and little child had been standing there for more that 15 Min unattended. Nobody seemed to even care for the fact that we were in the middle of a hot afternoon tired from a long train journey and deserve to be met with a smile and hospitality. The looks on the face of the reception staff were so dejecting that we felt as if we were annoying them every moment with our presence. I want to remind the hotel of one of the very basics of hospitality which starts with first smile that you give to your guests. A guest who faces a group of blunt and dejected faces is bound to get the first blow of frustration After the long wait when finally the check-in formalities started I was surprised to see the tortoise speed of the staff which took more than probably 10 Min to just find out what were the formalities that needed to be done. There were 3 of the staff at the check-in counter and nobody seemed to be confident and firm regarding the system and processes involved and kept discussing among themselves about what needs to be done and who needs to do it. It was almost like a relay race with the baton being passed from one person to the other without any progress being made While I was doing the check-in formalities nobody seemed bothered to show the bare minimum courtesy of offering my little child and my wife to go to the room while I finish the formalities. They were very tired and my child was feeling sleepy and even then nobody cared to even offer the sofa to them for taking rest. My question to the hotel is what kind of training do you give to your staff? And what criteria do you set for them for being recruited at your hotel? Do you just bring in any one from the streets without any bare minimum knowledge of courtesy and hospitality Now came the room !!! It was nowhere near the pictures they gave in the booklet and was ill maintained with bad odour coming from it. My child was having nausea after entering the room such was the stench. We requested for some room spray and it took the good for nothing staff more than 40 Min to get a room spray. When questioned on the delay the blunt reply was the hotel was full house. For the kind information I have visited many places in India during peak times and nowhere have I heard this lame excuse as the cause for delay in service The AC The AC was not working at the room and after inquiring the same again a relay race started and I was first told to call the room service, the room service told me to call the reception and the reception told me that I need to wait but there was no mention for how long. Our wait continued while it was already more than an hour and a half at the hotel for us without any refreshment, without any tea or rest. When no one responded for the AC we again called the reception and I was told I would be shifted to another room. On going to the other room there were more surprises !!! The door lock was not working the sofa was torn apart and not fit for sitting. The toilet was not clean and again a horrible smell was greeting with its fists clenched. By this time my child was feeling sick from the journey and the irresponsible behaviour of the staff
It was our 3rd family visit to Digha, we reached at 6 pm from Kandari express. Hotel was pretty near to the railway station, around 1km. Digha beach was little far about 6km from the hotel but the location was good, as it's located in the sea side picnic spot, perfect place for spending time with family and relaxing Hotel had good interior, front desk and reception are pretty and beautifully decorated, rooms and wash rooms were beautiful, clean and hygienic with WiFi service in it which worked nicely for us during our stay. We stayed in the family suite, room service was really appreciable, staff were attentive and always ready to help. Plus point was hotel have elevator in it. Restaurant was good, nice Chinese and Indian local cuisines available. Spend an relaxing 2 days with family, enjoyed the variety of fish fry at the Digha beach. Don't forget to visit the beautiful marine aquarium, just 2 km or less from the hotel.
Hotel Rajeet was good. Booking was done from Kolkata. It was newly built and well furnished. Hotel was near the beach. Cultural dance program was arranged by the hotel. Cleanliness was maintained in the hotel. Location of the hotel was very good. Appearance was excellent. Booking and front office was excellent. Overall service was very good. Rooms were excellent. Activities were very good. Destination Digha was very good .
Everything about the hotel was good. Rooms were excellent as per the charges. Room services were very good. Food quality and taste was excellent. Room had a mini bar. Hotel was located in old Digha. Beach was at a walking distance from the hotel. Location of the hotel was excellent. Hotel appearance and reception were excellent. Cocktail and dinner party was arranged by the hotel. Destination Digha was average.
We had an wonderful experience while on a family tour to Digha. We stayed at Hotel Rajeet. The ambience was mesmerizing. The quality of food was truly awesome and it was very close to the beach. It took hardly a few minutes to walk down to beach. The location is great. Distance from the Digha Flag Station is just a few minutes and pick-up was provided by the hotel.
