Rangji Temple Overview

Ranked 4 of 13 sightseeing in Pushkar

Rangji Temple is dedicated to Rangji, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the Hindu Trinity. In 1823, the temple was built by Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal and has a South Indian architectural style, though Mughal architecture peeks from some points.

It comprises two big structures of gatekeepers in front of the main gate and the high rising ‘Gopuram’. The temple houses an image of Garuda, Lord Vishnu’s mount and is considered one of the holiest temples of Pushkar.

The Rangji Temple

One of the ancient temple of Pushkar is devoted to Lord Rangji who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple has typical south indian architecture. Once you enter inside the premises you see the huge area and Giant gate. This temple has strong belief amongst the devotees. One should not miss it during the Pushkar Trip.

Beautiful south Indian style temple with breathtaking carvings

Rangji Temple is a few minutes walk from the Pushkar Bus Stand. The temple is built in south Indian style with very beautiful and intricate carvings of Lord Krishna. Photography isn't allowed there even from outside. Wearing of shoes is also not allowed. The gatekeeper is also very rude. You can admire the beautiful architecture of the temple and meditate for a while in the temple.
