Very good stay and quick service

Posted 3 Mar, 2017

It was my trip to Ranthambore in the month of January 2017 where I stayed in the Ranthambhore Regency. It was my holiday trip with family. The destination Ranthambore was average. I would rate the location as good because it is at main center. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as very good. I would rate the front desk staff as average. I booked this room directly at hotel. The services which were provided in the hotel were good with quick response. Rooms which we stayed in were good with facilities and hygiene. The hotel food was very good because price is very comfortable with more varieties.

Posted 25 Jan, 2016

The hotel is located in the city centre and near to the Ranthambore Park. The food is excellent and the staff were very helpful and they are always alert with the park timing so that clients cannot lose their Jungle Ride to see the Tiger. Mr. Joshep is a very kind person and do his job with excellency. Great hotel.

Great location & food; memorable stay

Posted 25 Jul, 2015

We had road trip from Delhi to Ranthambhore, it was great fun in the drive with me & my brothers family. The Hotel is situated in a very convenient location and we found absolutely no hassles in getting there. Mentioning this, because next morning we got some sad stories of travellers who could not reach their hotels and had to stay in their car with their kids empty stomach The rooms, dinning, Swimming pool, were nice and we had a very memorable trip with that. The hotel also offered a nice large bar with good sitting space for watching match in TV The food was complementary in our package and relished the ethnic Rajasthani food. I would highly recommend this for family trip.

The services were good but food was average in the taste

Posted 13 Oct, 2014

The hotel was about ten km from the railways station. There were cab facilities at this hotel. There was a temple by its surroundings. The tariff was above fifteen hundred. The food was really good and averagely and tasty. The staff and services at this hotel were helpful and friendly. The rooms that were provided by the hotel were spacious and helpful. The hotel had a good ambience and had garden view from the room. There were no activities and sightseeing trips organized by the hotel. The hotel was valuable for the amount spent by me and suggestive to the other visitors.

Tiger & a tigress Spotted on 9th February, 2009 at...

Posted 28 Feb, 2009

Tiger & a tigress Spotted on 9th February, 2009 at 7:15 am IST (Morning Safari, before entering Route No. 3) . . Day 1: Was a waste because the Cab we booked from Jaipur to Sawai Madhopur, took us through a much longer route (approx 100km more) and we missed our evening Safari. (People. Jaipur to Sawai Madhopur is just 150-160kms. The other route is 260Kms. Beware of people who take you for a ride! Research well before you travel to any place). Day 2: We got route Route no. 1 & 4 for the Morning & Evening Safaris respectively. (Did both Safaris in a Canter). Day 3: Early in the morning (at around 5 a. M. ), We fought with the official at the Tourist Office for Route no. 3 because he was giving us route no. 4 again. Route no. 3 has maximum tiger sightings so the officials at the booking office keep that route aside for VIPs & foreign tourists. But we finally got route no. 3 after much persuasion. We entered half an hour late into the park (well. Not everyone gets up on time. Lol); even before entering route no. 3, a tiger jumped right in front of our Gypsy and crossed the road. Seconds later, a tigress crossed the road, this time from behind our Gypsy & both disappeared into the dense forest cover. Later, we got a glimpse of the tigress through the dense trees, sitting on top of an abandoned structure and then jumped off in the opposite direction. We waited a while for them to come out again after they had finished mating, but they never came out. It was a dream come true! :). I'd like to inform all the tourists visiting Ranthambore that any hotels that claim 'Book a room in our hotel & we'll get you a gypsy' is a big fat lie! (I know this from experience & also because my friend's relative resides in Sawai. For safaris, Canters are available very easily but booking a gypsy is a real pain. Option 1: (Prior to your visit). You book Gypsies online through. Rajasthantourism. Gov. In/ (Bookings have to be done 15-20 days prior to your visit to Ranthambore because Gypsies get booked really fast! But I don't quite know how the routes will be assigned to gypsies booked online. Option 2: (On the Spot). When you're in Ranthambore, an hour or two prior to your safari, go to the Tourism Office and wait in a Queue. If you're lucky enough, you'll get yourself a Gypsy. The Govt. Keeps 3-4 Gypsies aside for VIPs and are released last minute if they go unbaked. Else you always have the option of booking a seat in the Canter Max. 6 members accommodated in 1 Gypsy

Spacious room; average food

Posted 22 May, 2014

The rooms were spacious and had huge windows that allowed natural light to come in. All basic amenities were there in the resort. Another great thing was hygiene. The food was just about average with not much variety. Evening tea/ coffee had some biscuits like Monaco and glucose biscuits! The staff is courteous but overzealous to serve only foreign nationals. At times it felt as if we were being discriminated in our own country!
