The Royal Palace Hotel was my stay in the month of February 2017 when I had been to Manikaran. It was my holiday trip with family. The place where I had been to was good. The hotel location was good with necessary available at the nearest. I would rate the appearance of the hotel as very good. The staff at the reception was very good because of 24/7 availability. I booked this hotel via online. The housekeeping services in the hotel were good because of responsible quick service. The rooms at the hotel were average. The hotel food was good as we like the taste and ambience.
Stayed here for 2 nights after Reading reviews. This is the best hotel to stay in Kasol/Manikaran away from the crowded place. True to it's name- royal in every sense !. Location: Exactly between Manikaran and Kasol- 2 Kms distance from both the places. Just on the Main road beside Parvati river. You hear the flowing water sound all the time in the room (we were in the room with balcony facing main road so heard this fast flowing water sound all the time). Views from the balcony are good. You can see the clouds on the mountains from the balcony. Rooms: Rooms are spacious and very well maintained. Interiors are really good. Royal feel inside the room. 3rd floor rooms are newly built and are really good. That's where we stayed. Food: There is no nearby restaurant where you can lounge, so one is restricted to eat at the hotel. But you will not regret. The food is really good and in budget. Overall my experience here was really good. Staff here is also friendly. Good car parking inside the hotel premises and a nice terrace. The only issue is wi-fi- it works well in the corridors but not inside the room (experienced 3rd floor room only). Even the network inside the room is close to terrible- you will have to go to the balcony or outside the room to connect. But I think that is manageable. Highly recommended to people who are travelling to that part of Michael.
Hotel is quite away from the main town so commuting becomes a big hurdle after 19:30 hr. If you don't have your own conveyance incase you want to go out specially in such a cold region where people coming from other parts of the country are not used to as the last Govt bus is around 19:30 hr. One can walk down as well as the distance is between 3 to 4 km from Kasol but becomes reasonably difficult. One has an option of taking a taxi (mostly tata sumo's) but they charge quite a lot for such a short distance till back to Royal Palace Hotel Royal palace is located between Kasol and Manikaran, which is an advantage for people who usually go towards this region for seeking thorough peace (including myself). We went there in a group of five(5) people, all peace seekers, so we all enjoyed it a lot as it offers a huge rocky hill view right in front of the hotel as it's literally right in front of you like a huge wall with Parvati river flowing beneath it which is almost crystal clear and pure. So ambience is really good and temperature-to watch out for, as we went in the first week of February, so it dips down about degree at night and worse if you go in peak winters If you are lucky then you can also get to see the snowfall. So carry some good amount of winter wear with inners. The hotel does not have heaters or blowers installed in the rooms which came to us as some bit of astonishment for a hill station hotel but you have to hire heaters for 300 in an off season, so be prepared to shell out some more bucks in the season time. Rs 2200 approximately is charged for a family suite. Mattresses are comfortable, rooms are cosy with all basic requirements and 24 hr hot water but they only give room service if you insist a bit more than required which is not a good gesture when you are on a complete relax holiday that too when we are the only ones staying there at the time we stayed at Royal Palace and cable TV doesn't offer you too many channels. It also becomes a disadvantage as, if you want to relax in the hotel then you have to dine there itself as there is no other restaurant or cafe in the nearby locality Staff consists of 4-6 guys with changing shifts, so professionalism is lacking but overall not bad but average service. One has an option of going towards Manikaran as it has a Gurudwara with a natural hot spring for people who like to be around a little civilisation and are religious and on the other hand one can go towards Kasol, which is comparatively a smaller place like a small village but will serve the purpose for total peace lovers. Try and keep the time into consideration as most places(cafe's, public places, transport, etc) get shut as early as 19:00 hr (7 pm) in off season Just one place to go after dark(my personal favourite)-the evergreen cafe in Kasol which is the only cafe open after 21:30-22:00 hr in off season and quite reasonable. Do not miss the ginger lemon tea. You can also choose to go further up from Manikaran towards tosh for making your trip more adventurous (a short snow trek of about 2-3 km depending on the snow) or towards Malana;-) All in all, everything in life comes with pros and cons, so one got to make choices. I had an average experience at the hotel but is mesmerized by the beauty around in that region so hotel or comfort isn't much of a deal for me. I would go there again. I hope my review will solve the purpose for you guys. Visit it atleast once, it's worth it(the region). Cheers .
We went to Manali and Manikaranin in August. Manikaran weather was awesome. We stayed here one night only and we book this hotel. We found easily this hotel. Hotel location was beautiful. Hotel staff was good. Front office is also good. Rooms are big and clean. Room service is also very fast. Balcony is attached with the rooms. Food and drink was good and tasty also at cheap rate. Overall experience is very good at this palace.
Well, we reached this place very late at night, but the hotel staff were as welcoming as it was a shiny day. We were offered nice rooms at very decent price, as I already visited few hotels to hunt for a room but did not find any one decent. As we were late and tired plus hungry we ordered food from the hotel only, it came out to be a feast, the food was amazing. The next morning, we got proper guidance from hotel manager, where and how to visit nearby places. The hotel staff were very cooperative and decent, they were always smiling. It's a family type, honeymoon type, bachelors type hotel. In all, it can cater every genre. Checking out was as smooth as checking in. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay.
