Pretty gardens, unwind at leisure

Tents can be super comfy too I learnt at Samode Bagh. Spacious rooms well appointed and lots of running hot water in the loos. These are my pet peeves usually - cramped spaces without running hot water. The vibe is cheerful with lots of happy kids running around the garden. The gardens are large enough for the sound not to be a bother. Food is surprisingly good if not inspired. Beware the deadly camel farts that had me and my crew in splits when we were taken up a nearby hill for tea around sunset. Not surprisingly this is the story I always seem to tell about Samode Bagh!

The activities were not conducted

The hotel was conveniently located. The staffs of the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room of the hotel was neat and well maintained. Amenities like AC, TV and geyser were working properly in the hotel room. The ambiance of the hotel was good. The garden view was provided from the room. I had taken vegetarian food in the hotel. The quality of food was good. The activities were not conducted inside the hotel. Sightseeing trip was not organized by the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to other traveller. I had visited this hotel for business trip with colleague.

Nice experience

Samode Bagh is a great getaway from Delhi (takes about four hours by road). It's good for many reasons, the main one being it's suitability for kids. If your kids are happy (and we all know that rates high on parent's agenda, esp on vacations) then you can relax, put up your feet and soak the sun (in the winters that is, summer Rajasthan heat is not exactly fun) There's lots for kids to do - the property has sprawling lawns, some of which have a badminton net and rackets for you and your family to use. Kids can run around, lots of space for that. If you go in a group, and try if you can because it makes the experience better, then you can take rooms next to each other and sit out in your little patio outside the room, chatting in your pajamas with steaming cups of tea. Also, take your maid, if you are lucky enough to have a good one. They have decent quarters for them (though the rooms are a little far from where the guests stay, so if you have small kids and you want your maid in the middle of the night, this may not be possible, unless you put a mattress in your room for them) The rooms are tastefully done up, fairly roomy, though not too spacious, but good enough for a couple with small kids (who would need extra mattresses since they won't fit on the bed, one kid can). But overall the rooms are clean and comfortable.

It was very good experience. It was a great holiday for our family The only negative thing is that one cannot have lunch and dinner according to own choice. The resort serves fixed menu lunch and dinner brought from Samode Palace a few kilometers away. Or otherwise, one may travel to Samode Palace to have lunch or dinner according to own choice.
