One of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim

Sangachoeling Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim and it is located on a hilltop in Pelling. It is a trek route of around 4-5 km through dense green woods. This monastery is also close to Pemayangtse Monastery and the distance is just 7-8 km.

Cool soothing breeze offers calmness

This monastery is a different type and of a different order; but the place offers such calmness all around that one feels like spending a couple of hours sitting there feeling the breeze, after the uphill walk.
