All the facilities are worth paying money. Hospitality was good. It is little far from the beach. Hotel location was nice. View was not visible from room's window. Geyser was available there but hot water was not available. Rooms were good there. Food taste wise was average. Quality wise I would say food needs improvement. Look wise hotel was good. Booking, front office, and reception service was excellent. Services were well there. There was no outdoor activity available. It is a nice place to stay. It is a recommendable hotel for other travellers. I went there with my family.
We booked Hotel Shantiniketan through phone. The lady on the other side, Ms Payal, was very helpful. We were a group of 8 people (including a child) and Payola gave us 1 NAC Family Suite(Room No 301) and 1 NAC Super Deluxe Room (Room No 201). The Suite room was huge and it had a separate bedroom. There was a mini bar, 2 TVs, 2 bathrooms and ample space to move around. The room was very clean and there was space to keep the luggage. There were no hangars in the wardrobe and we had to ask the reception for it The property was far from the New Digha Beach We had to TOTO each time we went to the beach. It was Rs 10 per head Coming back to the hotel, the exterior look is very rundown as it was primarily used as an Eastern Railway Holiday Home. The restaurant looks dilapidated although the interiors are nice. But it hardly matters as it serves really bad food and we had our meals at Hotel Rajeet and Hotel Cozet The manager was very nice and tried to help us in every possible way. He even asked the people at Hotel Coral (their other property) to let us use the swimming pool if we so desire The behavior of the staff at Hotel Shantiniketan was good overall but was a bit unprofessional sometimes. Given a choice, I would prefer to stay at Old Digha next time and even if I stay at New Digha, I might opt for another hotel.
Hotel is good. Everything is fine about this. I travelled there with my friends. Rooms are well furnished. Those are very neat and clean. TV, geyser and all basic facilities are available. Out side view is not so good. Hotel is located about 800 metre far from sea beach. Location is good but there is no sea view visible from rooms. Food is tasty. Veg and non-veg both varieties are available. Services are fully appreciable. Hotel appearance and ambience is nice. Reception is very fine. Staff is friendly. There is no outdoor activity available. Digha is a nice place for tourism. I will recommend this hotel for other .
Overall look and feel on the net & some good reviews got me to book this property. Upon reaching Digha, the property was not easily found ( though it claims to be within walking distance from the railway station) . We were a group & had booked 4 rooms. The room given to us, was not up to the mark, shabby walls, leaking showers, AC not working & the beds not yet done after the previous check out. Speaking with the manager, he changed our room & then all the rooms were done . This hotel is far off from the beach & walking to the beach was not possible . The so called restaurant is very pathetic, below the staircase in a small isle . I will never recommend this hotel to my friends / family members. There are end number of good hotels in Digha, within this budget & much better.
The hotel is nice and very cheap hotel and hotel atmosphere is like homely. After a long days before me and my friends are enjoyed a college tour in Digha, Santiniketan Lodge. The hotel is located near the town so the communication is so good. The office staff behavior was good. The room quality is good and neat and clean. The room is very comfortable with single and double bed. The food quality is very high and the price is not so high. All time food and drinks are available. I must say it is a one of best budget hotel in Digha.
