Far but worth

A complex of Islamic monuments. 4-5 structures in total. All of them are a piece of craftsmanship. Every jali is unique and the carvings are intricate. A must visit. The mosque is running and you are allowed to pay homage to the gods. The distance from the city is comparatively greater but a well managed trip would face no problem.

Historical attraction

Sarkhej Roza is a mosque and tomb complex located in the village of Makarba - Ahmedabad. It's a beautiful place with a pond in the middle. Peaceful sitting areas, walking paths and intricate architecture. There's a mosque with shoe locker facility. If you're a fan of architecture, do visit. Dress a little modest since it is also a mosque, islamic cultures and values are expected.

Nice place to get refreshed

I am feeling very happy after visiting the Sarkhej Roza. In life you should visit that place once because your soul and your mind both gets refreshed.

Most elegant with early islamic architecture

Sarkhej Roza comprises one of the most elegant and unique architectural complexes of Ahmedabad. In its architecture, Sarkhej Roza is an example of the early Islamic architecture. The place was stunningly beautiful and absolutely fascinating. It's quite a large mosque and mausoleum complex with an old dried up 'tank' and lots of beautiful carved stone. I loved it, highly recommended.

Paisa vasool place

This is one of the most underrated places in Ahmedabad. During rainy season you will find the place surrounded by water. It has got museum attached to this place.

A place which could have been a major tourist attraction

This place is amongst the finest examples of Mughal architecture. But duly neglected by the government, could have been much better if maintained. Basically it is a place of shrine but there are few ancient collections displayed. Old palace of king is there and a poorly maintained lake is there. Overall a very rich experience of history but government authorities need to work on it.

A monument of combined architect.

One really wonders which form of architecture you are watching at. The tall pillared front portion in front of the Roja is one in its class. The pillars in all the buildings takes you to different parts of Bharat with similar construction. Upkeep of the place needs improvement.

A fine architectural mosque

This was 'The Ahmedabad' before the present Ahmedabad came into being. There is a grave of the saint who is credited for founding the city of Ahmedabad. There is a lake at the back and more graves. The place at the back was full of bats and smelled foul. The best part is the lattice work in hall at the main building, which turns out very beautiful shadows during day time. Nice place to visit, though some distance from the city centre.

Place is clean and feels mystical

I visited it during Ramadan, and it was quite sunny, glistening under the sun. Place is clean and feels mystical. The tank pond at the center of the Sarkhej Roza was dried. Drinking water available there is not reliable, so, better to carry your own water bags and any snacks if you want to sit and eat. Best time to visit is in evening before sunset.

Beautiful Mosque

Explore the various tombs in the place, the pillars are a good spot to get a picture clicked. Also check out the beautiful windows which recently became really popular after Mr Bachchan did a shoot there for Gujarat Tourism.
