1) This is a small hotel with just 4 rooms (3 on 1st floor, and one on ground floor) 2) It's inside a village with proper road adjacent to fields all around 3) It's hot in June. They only have fans, so difficult to sustain(no ac). You can't stay in day time as its really hot here in June. Night is just okay 4) 2 member from staff is there who will take care of your room service, housekeeping and food needs, etc. Both locals but are doing good job. Food is really nice 5) We took all 3 rooms on 1st floor as we were 3 couples. Nice feeling in night as you can sit in balcony with slight light. Its all dark all around otherwise 6) They have a small machan opposite to other side of road and you can sit and enjoy pleasant air 7) Rooms are decent sized. Only drawback is its hot and ac's are not there 8) Cycles are there and you can try cycling in village road which are almost empty.
I had visited this hotel for couple tour. The appearance of the hotel was average. There was no delay in check in and check out. The behaviour of staff was good in the hotel. The service of the hotel was average. The allotted room was spacious with clean. The food quality was nice in the hotel. The activities were not arranged by the hotel. The WiFi facility was not provided by the hotel. I had booked this room directly.
A suppressed wish lies within all of us to stay amongst the nature. Absolutely away from the hassle of regular concrete jungle we stay in. Picturesque location and cottage to just chill our doing nothing. House keeping staff is just like the best care givers ever seen. Cheers for the place.
The hotel location was good and easy in travelling. The appearance of the hotel was good with new look. The staff members at the hotel were good in services. They provided complimentary WiFi and it was good. The receptionist was good in response. The room allotted to me was good with good amenities and the hotel did not delay while check-in process and check-out was also done well. The hotel was worth for the money.
We visited Palampur on 11th of June, 2015. I had heard a lot about Seclude and so got the bookings done at this guest house. We were three families but we booked all the four rooms of the guest house. ( Seclude has only 4 double bedrooms to offer) Ambience of the rooms is good at the first look but if you observe properly there are lot of shortcomings. There were no cold drinks available in the guest house. In the night we were asked to finish dinner by 9. 30pm. These things needs to be considered while getting the bookings done. I also felt the electric current in the taps of the bathroom Location of the guest house - Guest House is located in a village which is 12 Kms away from the main city. So if you need to travel to Palampur City and visit tourist places, you need to plan in advance as you can not come late to this guest house as this is actually a seclude place as the name suggests I would advice the travellers to stay at Seclude only if they want to relax and doesn't want to roam around or you should have ample time of stay. In addition to this one should ask in advance for some soft drinks, juices or other type of food which they would like to have during their stay. Do keep a mosquito repellent as well with you.
Seclude Hotel is very beautiful hotel and the location of the hotel is lovely. This place is like heaven for peace lovers. The rooms are very good and the rooms service is excellent, the hotel staff is nice and the food is great it was like homely made. The appearance and the front office is also good.
If I ever think of drawing a scenery, I know I 'll go back to this place. Its outside Palampur and gives you a heavenly fresh feel of the nature, a little heavy on the pocket though. Everything is perfect about this place. Although food is a little disappointing factor!
This is a private villa located in a village called Makred, a few kilometres away from Palampur. The place is very well done- rooms are well maintained and offer beautiful views of rice fields and snow clad mountain ranges. The service rendered is excellent- both the caretakers look after all your needs and requirements. Food is freshly cooked and served to you in the kitchenette cum dining area. It is a very good place to relax and distant oneself from the hustle and bustle of the city. I will definitely visit this place again.
One fine summer we (my wife and I) decided to go somewhere to some place, preferably the Mountains and to a place which was off the tourist path . . I mean where we go to enjoy nature in its unscathed "avatar" and where a late night meant 7. 30 pm. No clubbing, no internet (And guess what? I survived! No late night dinners and. No shopping, no malls. What I wanted was a detoxification but not of the Five Star-stay variety. Luckily I found the exact location in picture-postcard Palampur in Michael Pradesh, a relatively unknown small colony in North India, located at 4, 000 feet above sea levels. Darshna, my wife and I booked a cottage rental for five nights and was, probably, on retrospective, the finest vacationing decision I have ever taken in many years and proved two things. (1) That one need not need luxurious surroundings to enjoy a vacation. (2) One should not avoid a vacation simply because the distance is daunting as it took us 40 hours (by train and car) to reach Palampur. Surrounded by the mighty Dhauladhar Mountains which are perpetually snow clad, this petite settlement is nestled amongst gushing streams, monasteries, temples and treks, para gliding sites, tea gardens and the most incredible of natural wonders one can ever hope to find. A virtually crime free settlement, there was no need to lock our bags or even a need to rooms close our rooms at night. It's also one of the cleanest towns I have ever seen in India and needless to say, a pristine atmosphere. Additionally, used as a base it is home to many known neighbouring sights like Dharamshala and Macleodgunj (home to The Dalai Lama) and not so prevalent (but unusually isolated with airdropping sights) villages like Jiya, Gopalpur and Naddi. The nine minute tube highlights all the region has to offer and still it does not do any justice to the place. Even today I keep on pinching myself when I go through the photographs: Was this real? Was this not surreal? Go! GO before it gets corrupted by modernism and vacationers.
The Management was good but the bathrooms were not, well as good as expected, with flushes not working. The staff though made up for this as they were excellent. They allowed dogs in the room which made us apprehensive as the dog played around in the kitchen licking the plates etc.Water is a problem but that\'s all Palampur.
