A place to feel the warmth of The Father of India, Gandhi ji himself

I visited this place while I was going to Wardha, but at the end I ended up being amazed by the things it had to offer.Sevagram is approximately 75 km from Nagpur and the word Sevagram means "A place to serve". It takes us back to the life of Gandhi ji in the pre-independence days, the basic lifestyle amazed me. In the beginning I found it too basic to live here but as I read more about it in the Gandhi Ashram, I slowly began to understand the true meaning of simplicity. Gandhi ji along with Kasturba lived here and spent quite a while of their lifetime here. The places to visit include Bapus office, Parchure Kuti, Kishore Kuti, and Mahadev Kuti. A trip to Sevagram is incomplete without you visiting the Gandhi ji museum opposite the Ashram.Ps. At some places wearing footwear is allowed but it's better to make sure that you check the boards labelled outside the places.

Bapu's Kutiya..

Place worth a visit, we went by train. The nearest station was Wardha Junction. From outside the station you will get a lot autos which will take you to the ashram. It takes around 20 min from the station to reach the place. You will come to know how simple life Mahatma Gandhi lived. The place where Mahatma Gandhi live is called "Bapu Kutiya" which still has the bed, table, chair and other belongings which Mahatma Gandhi used. There is a small museum also where you can see the other belongings of Mahatma Gandhi like his dhoti, bed sheet etc.
