Royal Bath

Sheesh Mahal was built by Shah Jahan, and located close the Musamman Burj and Anguri Bagh. Indeed! It was a Royal's dressing room as the Royal baths are the North east, near this glorious inlaid, Shish Mahal a Turkish Bath which was having a special heating arrangement. It is so named because of the fine profuse embellishment of mirror on the arches, walls and the ceilings with irregular geometric and floral patterns in thick stucco relief work covering the walls and ceilings tiny mirrors mosaic were fixed hence it is known as Sheesh Mahal or Mirror Palace. This palace was also used as summer palace as it was having two water reservoirs for fountains, canals and water cascades which leaves the impression of water fall. This Palace was an important part of the Khas Mahal, which was built by Shah Jahan between 1631 to 1640, he was having a great aristocratic taste.
