Shiv Sagar Hotel
Near Somnath Temple Khodiyar Street Somnath , Somnath
I had visited this hotel for religious trip with family. Everything was very good in this hotel. The hotel was located in the city. It was a new hotel. The garden was not available in the hotel. The check in and checkout was not delayed. The behaviour of the was co-operative. WiFi facility was not provided in the room. The food quality and quantity was good. There was no suggestion for this hotel. I would recommend this hotel for upcoming travellers.
The hotel was under construction when I checked in and is bit off track from main station. There was only one staff who was serving as receptionist, waiter and I guess he only was owner. Rooms were big, clean and decent. Perhaps, it will develop a good hotel in future days. The guy in staff was humble too. A decent stay overall.
The hotel is managed by two terrible managers. I had booked my room through Yatra. Com and received a confirmation and I had also spoken to one of the managers about the room before hand. However, I was shocked when I was informed that they could not honour the confirmation as it was peak season. Mahesh one of the manager asked to get a refund from Yatra. Com and offered me a room at Rs. 2000/- per night The room was lousy with broken bathroom doors and had very dirty bed lenin. After 1 hour telephonic call with Yatra. Com I was allowed to occupy the room after agreeing to pay Rs 1000/- (to Mahesh) for the extra few hours I proposed to stay in the hotel My verdict- Avoid the hotel, stay at your own risk.
The resort was located conveniently, we travelled by train. The hotel was located at the city. The interior and exterior of the hotel were good and well maintained. TV was not at working condition. The check-in and checkout process was quick. The staff of the hotel were very polite and helpful. The room provided by the hotel was neat and clean. The food was costly. It was best situated for western tourists as per my personal opinion. All the amenities were functioning properly. A very small hotel hence no indoor and outdoor activities.
I had travelled with my family for religious purpose. The location was awesome. The hotel was located at the centre of the city and was opposite to temple. The appearance was good and well maintained. The view was not seen because there was no window at the room. I had a suffocation of Light and natural air in the room. The room was neat and clean. The staff were good and quick at service. The amenities were all properly maintained. There were no swimming pool or any activities provided. The check-in and checkout was very much on time.
The hotel located at main market area & very near to temple. Hotel building is Good & rooms are big & clean. One of the best budget hotel in Somnath. Location is a plus point that is if you don't mind the traffic outside. The check in was smooth and I was given a room facing away from the main road so was not disturbed by the noise. The room, had all the basic stuff and was well maintained though a bit cramped for space. The staff were very prompt, courteous and always were happy to help. Breakfast buffet was quite satisfying. It would be good if the hotel could improve on their choices in the menu especially for vegetarians.
Somnath as a destination is very good. I travelled there by train. It was my comfortable journey. Hotel's location was excellent. It was conveniently located. Sea and temple view was visible from the room. Outlook of the hotel was very good. It was redecorated and refurnished. It was a recommendable hotel . . Booking was done directly. There was no problem in booking and no delay in check-in and checkout. Booking process was excellent. Staff was helpful there. They were quick in response on calling. Hotel staff was excellent. Room was spacious. Room and washroom both neat and clean. Two big beds, Television, dinning table, etc. Were available in the room. Towel, Bath tub, and other things were provided in the bathroom. Overall, room was excellent. Food was good. Only veg food was available there. Quality and quantity of the food was good. It was restaurant type. Internet connectivity was there. They arranged for sightseeing trip also. Activities were excellent. It was a relaxation trip with my family in August 2014.
The hotel was located conveniently and it was close to shopping malls and temple. The appearance of the hotel was good and surroundings were hygienic. The hospitality at the hotel was very good and staff members were helpful and friendly in nature. The room allotted to me was maintained cleanly with all the necessary amenities and food served by the hotel was good in quality as well as in taste. It was a relaxation trip with my family and our stay was quite comfortable. The destination is worth spending money for, and I would recommend this hotel to stay as it comes in budget along with good facilities.
